I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jake's Steakhouse on West 242nd Street in the Bronx, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance set the perfect tone for our date. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. We started with the crabcake, which was perfectly seasoned and accompanied by a tangy remoulade. The mini filet mignon crostinis were a delightful appetizer, featuring tender beef on crisp bread with just the right amount of seasoning. For the main course, I opted for the roasted lamb shank, which was fall-off-the-bone tender and richly flavored, while my date enjoyed a baked potato that was fluffy and loaded with toppings. The evening was capped off with a decadent crème brûlée, its creamy custard and crisp caramelized top providing the perfect ending to a memorable night. Jake's Steakhouse provided an unforgettable dining experience, making it an ideal spot for a romantic date.

In my over 40 years in NYC I have never visited this steakhouse. Let me tell you what a wonderful, wonderful experience! We sat upstairs window view of the park which was just beautiful! The cocktails were amazing! We had the tuna tartare tower (enough to share for 3) the set up of the tower was sp unique and the taste is still making my mouth water! We ordered the filet mignon, with potato croquettes, and asparagus. My daughter ordered the twin lobster tails. Holy Moly mother of tastebuds! The steak was definitely one of the BEST I have EVER eaten! I ordered it medium and it was on point! The lobster tail with that buttery lemon sauce was outstanding! You could probably sit with just that sauce and dip bread and it's a win! The cappuccino was delish.... the bread pudding omg was so well done and tasty. Finally, the service was impeccable! Thank you for such a wonderful food experience!

We went going for a lobster dinner! We got there @6pm & the said they were sold out!! We have been getting emails saying come for a special lobster dinner from Friday-Sunday! I believe that is very unfair !

Well the first issues was it was freezing, the AC was on blast. Even after speaking to our server and he turned it down it was still way too cold. This made the entire experience uncomfortable. Then my meal was very disappointing; I ordered the Short Ribs and they were dry. And because the AC was on blast our meals were cold about 2 minutes after we were served.

Not only that the steak was soooo good the buffalo wings and honey wings was off the chains.

As usual, a delicious time at Jake's! 3 of us had the petite filet. I had the short ribs. Christian, our server, took great care of us, a good balance of never rushing us but almost checking on us from time to time.
