A work partner/friend and I decided to dine at Jake’s and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Not only was the food great and very quick, but the service from everyone was excellent. Would definitely go back again. AND huge BONUS, Jake’s is celebrating their 30th birthday by extending an amazing 3 course meal menu option and all for only…that’s right, $30 - appetizer, main, and dessert for ONLY $30! Unheard of these days. We loved our time and look forward to coming again!

My girlfriend and I were just in Portland for a weekend getaway and decided to have dinner here. We were not disappointed at all. Everything from the drinks to the appetizers, to the main course were outstanding… I would recommend this restaurant to anyone

We were in the back dining room. It was too noisy even for a party of 2 to have a conversation. The waiter was very accommodating but no baked potatoes available for 1 1/2 hours . Unfortunately our diet does not permit french fries or mashed potato but no alternatives were offered or accommodations made to substitute- very disappointing experience.

The restaurant was quite noisy and very hot! Our server was good (not great). Two out of our 3 steaks were overcooked (well done when we ordered them medium rare). I will say that the manager handled the situation well but as it was taking a very long time to get our new order, we ended up cancelling as we did not feel like waiting any longer. We were offered a comp appetizer on a return visit but declined as we do not live in the area and would not return if we did.

The fish and chips are very good. Shrimp and crab Louie very tasty. Great clam chowder.
