Jade yorkville - which is not in yorkville - was an extreme disappointment . After convincing my girlfriend to spend new year eve with me there based on their limited reviews , we were seriously disappointed . The cocktails , which were supposed to be the highlight were some of the worst I’ve had. Me and my girlfriend ordered our go to cocktails which we’ve had a million times ( old fashioned and negorni) and could genuinely not tell if that’s what we’re actually having. The service was subpar , specially considering the location and price tag. The owner ( I think ) and maybe one waitress ( the person in charge of snacks ) were the only people who seemed invested in our experience . The bartender , when I informed him that I didn’t like the old fashioned said “ I made it “ and when I asked him for any whisky cocktail proceeded to serve me the exact same terrible drink , seemingly offended by me not liking his terrible cocktail . The other bartender forgot our order on multiple occasions despite us standing in front of her at the bar and was dismissive on many other occasions. At one point , We were asked to not blow our party horn !!!!!! except for the ten second coutndown ( which was given to us upon arrival ) , an odd ask on NY eve !! The dj set itself was mediocre and the countdown was underwhelming without any presentation ( no balloons, no lighting , not even a screen or poster ) The snacks were good !! We enjoyed some of them but it was too little too late . Going to a new restaurant for NY eve was apparently the wrong choice , one I won’t make again and don’t recommend you do either

Loved the food. The only reason I gave 4 star was their Risotto. It was more like mashed potatoes. Other than than the food, service and ambiance was amazing and we will definitely go back. It was our friends birthday and they even gave him a card. Very cute. Definitely a good night and memory.

My daughter celebrated her 16 birthday yesterday at Jade and she said mom had an amazing time. The restaurant staff are very friendly and the food was very delicious. Thank you for making my daughter birthday so special, it means the world to me. I appreciate all the hard work of the restaurant staff.

Booked a reservation in advance to celebrate a birthday, that made the hostess understand that we wish to have the worse seat in the house (even though it was fairly empty) where we can’t even look at each other and are forced to sit side by side.Nevertheless, I understand that things happen (she didn’t read the reservation or was distracted) I therefore gently approached her and explained that it is a birthday celebration and I would like a seat more fit for the occasion so she recommends the seat facing the freezing cold entrance. At that point, it was clear that she is recommending me to use that entrance and leave and it’s exactly what happened. The owners tried to reconcile, but that’s not how I wanted to start my evening (begging for service). Jade is a new restaurant in Yorkville where there are LOTS of established and highly recommended options, you should fight for business not treat it nonchalantly. In hindsight, other people have said the same thing on google reviews about the service so as they say “buyer beware”.

Great meal. People were very attentive. Everything was so good. Short rib and their fish appetizers were yum. Not very busy on a Tuesday.

I hated the fact that the washroom was next to the kitchen and the lighting in the washroom was too dark. I ordered a cheese cake and it was very salty.

We had a wonderful server, Sarah, who was quite knowledgeable re drinks and the menu. The appetizers, I had the octopus salad, had very good flavors and the rib was delightful and well seasoned. Even the DJ, who we spoke to, was wonderful. Overall, a very nice evening.
