Jack Fry's serves up southern fare in a setting that's been a part of Louisville, Kentucky since around 1933. Visitors can step inside for lunch, dinner or cocktails, all to the soothing notes of live jazz. Once a hangout for local sports enthusiasts, Jack Fry's is now known for its fine dining and family-friendly atmosphere.

The executive chef prepares southern specialties and adds a bit of French influence to create local favorites like shrimp & grits, lamb chops and Jack's burger. Jack Fry's provides a friendly atmosphere and live jazz , ensuring the entire group will find something to enjoy.

Not the same Jack Fry’s as in years past (pre-COVID.) Disappointing food quality, and rushed service—sadly now feels more like a factory rather than a personal dinning experience.

Jack Fry’s is a historic restaurant with a well known reputation as a great place to dine. We had a great meal and Ty delivered an outstanding experience. The restaurant was extremely crowded so the quarters were a wee bit tight and it was kind of loud. Those two issues didn’t disrupt what was ultimately a wonderful meal with terrific service. I’d highly recommend Jack Fry’s to anyone wanting a special dinning experience from an historic Louisville institution.

We’ve been to Jack Fry’s multiple times. This time the food lacked flavor and was just average. For the price it should have been much better. Our service was good and wait time was also good. Too many other great restaurants in Louisville to return there anytime soon.

I love Jack Fry’s and go there for lunch and dinner. Yesterday, lunch was pleasant. However, the server pouring water consistently gave my guest ice with her water and me only water. The desert menu was empty…without the paper listings, the check was wrong and a server stepped on my toe! I don’t know if they were just rushing (it was not crowded) but they tried to remove our plates when we weren’t finished. Since I am a supporter of local restaurants, including Jack Fry’s, I will be back and hope the service improves.

Jack fry’s is a popular establishment and it has some old world charm. But that old world charm means it is very cramped quarters and extremely loud.

Celebrated my birthday here last night. It wad my first visit and I know it will be the first of many now. Wow, what a fabulous menu, cocktail and bourbon selection and ambiance. Thanks so much for an unforgettable and fantastic evening! Service was awesome too!
