Jack Fry's serves up southern fare in a setting that's been a part of Louisville, Kentucky since around 1933. Visitors can step inside for lunch, dinner or cocktails, all to the soothing notes of live jazz. Once a hangout for local sports enthusiasts, Jack Fry's is now known for its fine dining and family-friendly atmosphere.

The executive chef prepares southern specialties and adds a bit of French influence to create local favorites like shrimp & grits, lamb chops and Jack's burger. Jack Fry's provides a friendly atmosphere and live jazz , ensuring the entire group will find something to enjoy.

This is a great restaurant., I had the beef fillet, one of the best I have ever eaten. Ordered rare and cooked perfectly. Good luck getting a reservation, always busy, but well worth it.

Jack Fry’s is always our favorite place to celebrate. It is such a treat to enjoy a delicious dinner with exceptional service.

First the good: the food and service were excellent! Had the beet salad and the short rib. Both were delicious and beautifully presented! Our waitress was excellent, we never waited or wanted for anything! The not so good: the restaurant is very dark, too dark and there was something weird about the booth we sat in - it was incredibly tight and the table was too low. Some other diners in the next booth moved to a table because I heard them say they were uncomfortable in the booth? Would definitely return but not if I had to sit in a booth.

This place has been a stronghold in the restaurant community for many years but perhaps it has reached its time to close the curtain. Service was slow… portions are down and the salad was ridiculously small. I shall not return.

Jack Fry's is a wonderful place to experience an exceptional meal. The restaurant is charming and wait staff is professional and attentive. The menu has something for everyone and always exceeds our expectations. Jack Fry's is a Louisville treasure.

Just okay- entrees looked amazing but the sides were not something I was interested in so I just stuck with a burger, which was unfortunately not something I was hoping to order for an anniversary dinner. Old Fashioned was okay, but watered down quickly due to the ice they use. SUPER loud, which would be okay, but the table behind us was annoyingly loud. Waiter was very polite, but not super attentive.

The food was fantastic had beet salad and the lamb chops. Place was hopping for Tuesday evening. Would highly recommend this place!
