Jack Fry's serves up southern fare in a setting that's been a part of Louisville, Kentucky since around 1933. Visitors can step inside for lunch, dinner or cocktails, all to the soothing notes of live jazz. Once a hangout for local sports enthusiasts, Jack Fry's is now known for its fine dining and family-friendly atmosphere.

The executive chef prepares southern specialties and adds a bit of French influence to create local favorites like shrimp & grits, lamb chops and Jack's burger. Jack Fry's provides a friendly atmosphere and live jazz , ensuring the entire group will find something to enjoy.

Long time establishment with great history and ambience, excellent service, and consistently great food. Can get loud during dinner because of the small space but we did lunch today and noise level was reasonable.

Jack Fry’s came highly recommended to us. We were told the food was amazing. That is definitely true. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks. The restaurant was super crowded, so the noise level was pretty high. It was a little difficult to hear at times. However, that would not stop us from coming again. Exceptional service and food!!!

I’ve always viewed Jack Fry’a as a Louisville staple and this was one of then worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in general. We had a reservation and were seated 30 minutes late. Nobody seemed bothered by this. When we were finally seated and told the waiter how late things were, he was not bothered and our subsequent service was slow, inattentive and overall disinterested We had to call him numerous times to order, but he was Johnny on the spot with the tables around us, and had no problem bringing our checks. We spoke with the regional manager at the end of the meal to express our disappointment in the evening and it was shrugged off as “sorry we had a. Bad night”. Will no longer recommend.

The food was heart warming as usual. Our server worked with us as far as time as we were going to the orchestra following dinner.

As in the past, incredibly delicious food, super attentive service, great bar, fabulous evening. The hostess responded to our request to have a booth and not a small table in the front area; a big thank you! What an enjoyable early dinner! Jacks is great !

Everything was perfect only thing was that the PorkChop was very pink inside and the Salmon was a little undercooked for me. Otherwise o really great place to dine.

Absolutely loved Jack Fry! The staff was incredibly friendly and on top of everything. Great cocktails and the food was amazing! Will definitely be back next trip to Louisville.
