JaBistro is a Japanese restaurant that is located in downtown Toronto, mere blocks away from Roy Thompson Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. The modern and sleek restaurant offers indoor as well as outdoor seating in the late spring and summer months. JaBistro is a contemporary space that is decorated with brick accent walls, booth style seating, sophisticated dim lighting and an oversized bar.

                                                                  Food was outstanding fish and rice were so fresh. Best sushi I have had in Toronto. Service from Ivy was excellent. Chefs and servers know what they are doing.

                                                                  I had the set menu and everything was exquisite flavors. The service was impeccable. It was one of my most memorable dining experiences this year.

                                                                  Excellent service. Felt like a Time Capsule to Japan. Perfect portions, ratio of wasabi to soy was on point. Parking was right across $10 for 2 hours. Price was decent.

                                                                  I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ja Bistro, a sushi restaurant, and I was blown away by the quality of the sushi. The fish was incredibly fresh and extremely tasty, a true delight for anyone who enjoys raw fish. The care taken in the presentation of each dish was evident and added to the overall experience. Our waitress was fantastic, providing attentive service and recommending an excellent, reasonably priced bottle of sake that complemented our meal perfectly. The ambience in the restaurant was great, with a reasonable noise level that allowed for easy conversation. I recently brought friends from Japan to Ja Bistro, and they were equally impressed. They commented that the sushi was on par with some of the best restaurants in Japan, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, Ja Bistro offers an outstanding sushi experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

                                                                  The food is good and so fresh, especially for the sashimi. But the service was horrible, it is not my first time here for dinner, and the waitress who mainly handled our table seemed not to be familiar with the menu, answering our concerns about dishes without a clear and good explanation, we are 6 people paying a hundred dollars for tips, and I would say the service does not worth it, but food still on the high level.

                                                                  I’ve eaten at JaBistro 5 or 6 times, and this outing was by far the most enjoyable. We had the “SUMMER SOIRÉE DINNER” pre-set meal, and the Seared Scallop course was the best. The combination of flavours and textures was excellent! I chose the NIWANO UGUISU 50 sake, and I thought paired perfectly. We also enjoyed a couple excellent cocktails. Ordinarily I would have had a reaction to the cost, but on this occasion I enjoyed the food and drinks to the point of chalking it up to a very nice treat. We will definitely return!

                                                                  Our meal was really top quality in every regard, and we were very well looked after by Sophie. We ordered somewhat as we went along, not being sure how much to go for, and this was very straightforward to do. We started with sublime lobster miso soup and ended with amazing miso cod - and everything in between was delish.
