J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    Some friends and I stopped in for Omaha Restaurant Week. I chose the New York Strip and was disappointed. The steak was a little chewy. My friends raved about the salmon, crab cakes and wagyu risotto. The service was very good and the presentation was nice. I just wish the steak had been tender and flavorful.

    We always enjoy our birthday celebrations at JGils & we are now adding our sons on our journey! They really enjoy the sliders & sweet potatoes fries!     Dinner was great, we had salmon and a filet! Sides were good, service was spot on! Would definitely go back!

    We went here to celebrate my birthday as well as our anniversary. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left we felt very welcome. The staff went above and beyond to make it such a special day. The food was the best steak and lamb we have ever had. We will be back

    We decided to go to J Gilbert’s for my husband’s birthday. We were seated immediately. The food (steaks) were amazing and the service (Connie was our server) were excellent. She was attentive and very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was tasty and my husband was given a special treat for his birthday. We attended during Omaha restaurant week which made it most affordable.

    The calamari appetizer was absolutely delicious, and unique with the addition of feta cheese crumbles. The filet mignon was tender, perfectly cooked, and fabulous. Our server, Minna, was warm, lovely, and attentive. The establishment was also kind enough to provide a birthday card to my friend whom we were celebrating. Truly wonderful overall experience, and we cannot wait to return!
