J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    What an amazing meal! Every element was assembled to perfection, and elegantly presented. From the cocktails to the salads and soups (Maryland Crab Bisque!), to the steaks with a perfect wood-fired char finish, to the way-too-large desserts. Simply exceptional.

    We went here for my husband’s birthday hoping to have an excellent steak. It was just okay. Our group ordered the smoked old fashion and the mango margarita. Smoked old fashion was not as good as one you can get at Bonefish Grill. Mango cocktail was pretty good! Wish it was served colder. We got the calamari for an appetizer and it was delicious! Spezia’s remains my favorite thought. We all got steaks, 2/4 overcooked but especially my husband’s whiskey ribeye. Ordered medium and got a solid medium well. It was brought to the servers attention but he didn’t seem to be concerned. For this reason alone we will not be back. The mashed potatoes were great, some of the best I’ve had. The scallops were the star for sure! Other sides were pretty good as well. VERY overpriced for what we got and sadly we will not be back.

    We requested and sat at a bar high top, which we liked. Our server was great. Took our drink order then told us the bar was slammed. We ordered then she came back and said they lost our ticket. We ordered 2 of the 4 oz filet combos. Both we very overcooked. Our server recognized this and they pd for a round of our drinks which is nice. Overall I was just disappointed that the food wasn’t better quality. I’m sure I will go here again, but expect more.

    The maple salmon was delicious and their Caesar salad is one of my favorites. The dressing has a nice kick! Excellent service!

    Very good food and service. Party next to us was very loud but they apologized to us by buying us drinks. Large parties like that should be in private room.

    J. Gilbert’s was a great atmosphere with special detail to our request for a table with someone with hearing aids to be able to engage and not have too much competing noise. We had a fabulous evening of conversation and enjoyed the tasty food cooked perfectly. It was a great evening for us as we celebrated our anniversaries.

    Great food great service. Server gave us a free dessert. Must have been a misorder at other table. Love this environment.
