The Ivy Inn Restaurant and Bar is the perfect place for a date night or celebratory dinner with your partner. Sit by the fireplace indoors and listen to the live piano player while you enjoy a meal of roasted rack of lamb or grilled veal chop served in a mushroom cognac cream sauce. During nice weather, sit out on the patio that is surrounded by greenery for privacy and dine on broiled Canadian salmon or the blackened Louisiana catfish served with a spicy tomato salsa. While the mood is intimate, children are welcome at the Ivy Inn and menu items for them include penne pasta with butter, three mini sliders or a pizzette.The Ivy Inn offers a global selection of both red and white wines. For those that are more adventurous, there are tasting options on the menu which present you with a sampling of three distinctly different wines.

It felt like they were short folks in the kitchen. Meals didn’t all come out at once. Our waitress never filled our water glasses after the first time. We have spent the last two New Years Eve at the Ivy inn and it was the best. So we were very disappointed this time.

Fantastic place with a ton of history and excellent food and atmosphere I love the mushroom puff pastry appetizer in the special menu and this time I had the breakfast pizza which was great as well!

Ivy Inn restaurant is a charming spot within the community of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. It a mile down from the Hilton located just a mile up the street in the neighborhood. There is history that comes with the building. The dining cocktail menu shares their story of the once upon a time 6 guest room inn and pub for travelers to stop in. Indoor or outdoor dining is available. They have two outdoor patios sections but it looks as though only the very back is currently in use. The side patio is lined with live Bamboo and outdoor string lights. It has a lot of potential to be a lovely garden area for ladies luncheons or bridal showers. Indoor dining - they have plenty of seating plus a back dining room with one adorable romantic booth for two. The bar is the original U shaped bar. There is so much character in this place, you’ve got to see for yourself. The clientele looked to be a very mature retirement crowns or locals. We saw some couples walking to dinner. Parking is limited but available in the front of the restaurant. Dinner was delicious! We will return. They have a menu filled with entrees I’ll never make at home so it was nice to enjoy them here. Portions are plentiful leaving me with leftovers which reheated beautifully the next day.

I have been there few times and the food is always good. Restaurant has an extensive selection of wines list for everyone.

A very warm, cozy and friendly atmosphere. We were on a "date" night and there was a young family next to us. Despite the contrast both parties had an enjoyable evening. The cod special was outstanding and one of the best we've ever had. My drink was missing a few ingredients including a caramel rim so that could have been better. Overall, can't wait to go back again.
