We’d never gone to Ivy Cafe and were looking for a lighter dinner. This was perfect. Good food, good place - crowded, but able to get a table for 4. Go there. It’s very good.

Excellent dining experience. Love the atmosphere and extensive menu. A group of 4 tried a mixture of 7 of their small plates— all of which were delicious. Highly recommend.

We thought we would try a new restaurant during Clayton Restaurant Week as this often gives you a chance to do so. We have dined at most of the choices except a couple and the menu the Ivy Cafe was offering was quite appealing. We were promptly seated for our reservation and presented the 3 course menu and a selection of drinks and cocktails. We ordered drinks and were told about the dining selections. And were asked for our orders. Service was extremely disjointed and took 2-3 trips for each visit by a different member of the staff. The server never wrote anything down and repeatedly had to come back to the table to verify what each of us ordered. We were then told that one of the three entrees was out of stock - short ribs. We had a reservation- there were only 3 entrees they were serving all week and they were out all ready. Extremely disappointing. We started off with salads, beet chips and soup. The salad did not live up to the description- it lacked any flavor. The beet chips were soggy and the avocado smash was not fresh. This course was served over the course of 3 trips and 6 minutes. Entrees were split between the sea bass and the pasta. The fish was cooked perfectly but the quinoa was over cooked and the eggplant was cold. The pasta carbonara was tasteless and quite disappointing. Again, by the time the 6 entrees were served, the first 4 were tepid in temp. Desert was split between the offerings of foot butter cake, olive oil cake and cheese cake all presented attractively but taste-wise left much to be desired. Overall a very disappointing evening.

Charming small restaurant. The menu was varied and delicious. The only objection was that all food came out together which made us rush the salad.

Overall, the food was pretty good, a few things like the fried pickles didn’t have much flavor. But the mushroom and herb pasta was outstanding! Unfortunately, the service was lacking. Our waitress took our order and pretty much disappeared. The rest of the time we had to flag down other servers to get refills or ask for our food. We would probably order takeout from them, but would not eat there in person again.

Charming, small local restaurant. Great wait staff, large menu but not overwhelming. Especially good for vegetarian patrons. Something for everyone!
