ItalX, an avant-garde Italian restaurant, is now open for weekend lunch and dinner six days a week at City Center. The restaurant is located at 160 West Main Street. The team draws inspiration from Italy's emphasis on simple, fresh, quality ingredients and inspired hospitality in a warm and inviting space. A twist on traditional Italian fare, the menu will feature multiple scratch-made pastas, reimagined small plates, vegetarian and gluten-free offerings, and everyone's favorite desserts. Popular Italian dishes will be reinvented with elegant presentation. ItalX's bar program offers extensive Italian wines from all regions of 'the Boot' and an inventive cocktail list, backed by house-made ingredients and Italian liqueurs.

The service was sub-par. Didn’t attend enough to refill water, etc. My food wasn’t warm and I prefer my food hot. Wine pairing was excellent. Second time to visit and not as good as the first time.

In town for a conference. Had dinner with teammates here. Great food and service! Will be back when I’m town again.

Had a great experience at the bar counter! Aubrey is an awesome bartender, and the manager Christian goes above and beyond for his guests.

The food wasn’t what I expected. Service was really really slow. Very slow. Took 3 hours for dinner.

I ordered the special, which was a New York strip, medium rare. When it arrived, they had forgot to put the demi-glaze on it and so they brought a cup for me to do it myself. The steak was very poorly cooked — it had almost no sear on it, was blue on the ends, and medium well in the middle. I don’t like complaining about food, but honestly this would have been a very disappointing steak at Applebee’s, let alone at a place like this at a premium price. The others with me enjoyed their meals and their food did look decent. My drinks were pretty good. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere was quite nice. It’s just hard to get excited about all that when my food was so poor.

Wow, this is one of the best meals I’ve had in Lexington! Everything from the drinks, appetizer, entrees to dessert was absolutely fabulous! I can’t wait to go back soon!

We had a great experience. The service was very good and the food was delicious. The restaurant also provided a relaxing upscale feel without being stuffy. The pasta was delicious! My wife and I came here for our anniversary and we were both very satisfied with the whole experience.

Very enjoyable experience celebrating our son’s 22nd birthday. Good food and very nice atmosphere. Our server was very personable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good Italian restaurant

Incredible service and food. It was my parents anniversary so I booked a table for them via OpenTable. I called the restaurant the day of the reservation and asked if they could charge the meal/gratuity to my card and add a little flare to the desert. I believe I spoke to Chris Allen and he took care of everything. He went above and beyond to make it a great experience. My parents absolutely loved the meal, service, and experience. Not only are my parents now huge fans of the restaurant, but my wife and I have enjoyed every single meal there.
