ItalX, an avant-garde Italian restaurant, is now open for weekend lunch and dinner six days a week at City Center. The restaurant is located at 160 West Main Street. The team draws inspiration from Italy's emphasis on simple, fresh, quality ingredients and inspired hospitality in a warm and inviting space. A twist on traditional Italian fare, the menu will feature multiple scratch-made pastas, reimagined small plates, vegetarian and gluten-free offerings, and everyone's favorite desserts. Popular Italian dishes will be reinvented with elegant presentation. ItalX's bar program offers extensive Italian wines from all regions of 'the Boot' and an inventive cocktail list, backed by house-made ingredients and Italian liqueurs.

Food was delicious and service was great. Enjoyed dinner- the doors were open to outside making it noisy as loud cars came by, but over all nice to have indoor/outdoor feel during meal.

Italx was a wonderful experience! Our waitress AUBREY went above and beyond to ensure that we had pleasant evening. She was knowledgeable and attentive, yet never overbearing. Would absolutely recommend this spot, if you ever head this way ask for AUBREY! She was so pleasant and added to our overall downtown Lexington experience!

It was alright but nothing special, for the price and popularity I kind of expected more. Still pretty good, but nothing spectacular.

Bolognese is wonderful. Eggplant Parmesan was only on menu for Restaurant Week and was fabulous!

We went for Restaurant Week Special. We made different selections to try a variety. Food was very well prepared and presented nicely. Our server was great! We will definitely return again.

ItaliX is amazing all-around. We were there in mid-July so the wall of doors was open to the street - it felt like we were dining outside but with the cool of inside - which was lovely. (This was also the reason I gave it a high sound rating though - Lexington seems to like it’s incredibly loud motorcycles - still the open walls are worth it though) The food was unbelievable- the Marsala, Picata, and Carbonara were all amazing. Cant say enough about the ambiance and food. Helpful note, there is a nice/bright parking garage under City Center with four different (and well-marked) elevators- one of which (“Residence Inn/ItalX”) takes you right up to the ItalX door.

My daughter and I split the chicken piccata and it was the perfect amount for both. The Caesar salad is delicious. One of the best in town.
