    Great experience and wonderful food! Even with the set menu, they were able to accommodate a person’s shellfish allergy by substituting the scallop dish for something else equally as delicious so they didn’t feel left out at all. Simon, our server, was very attentive and explained each dish wonderfully, and just really made us feel welcome and relaxed the whole time. We both always really enjoy our dining experiences here and I can HIGHLY recommend Istanbul for both the food and service! Thanks again Simon for an incredible dinner experience, and thank you to the wonderful chefs! :)

    Our server, Kai, was superb -- professional, responsive, helpful and super-friendly. The food preparation was good, but not excellent; the Mediterranean salad was heavy on wet, too-thinly-knife-chopped iceberg lettuce, but skimpy on other actually flavorful ingredients. Including small un-pitted olives in the salad was potentially dangerous to teeth and airway. (Servers should be instructed to advise diners that the olives contain pits!) The tzatziki sauce was delicious, but the serving size was disappointingly small. My lamb tenderloin shish arrived seriously overcooked (well-done), but the kitchen graciously replaced the entree with the proper medium-rare lamb I had originally ordered. It was delicious! The remainder of our meal also was excellent, as advertised. I hope that Istanbul will have more consistently-excellent food preparation, and a less raucous indoor sound level, when I gladly return.

    We reserved a table for 7:00 PM. Our table was not ready until 7:30 PM. The waitstaff was nice, but not very attentive. We had to ask for more water, utensils, etc. The menu is lovely, and so is the ambience. We ordered a favorite from coming here often over time, and the recipe had changed. It was okay, but other entrees were better. I do like how they decreased some of the prices. Flavors were great, and dessert is always a hit! My only complaints were wait times when we had a reservation, and inattentive/annoyed waitstaff.

    "Best lamb chops ever," said my sweetie. We loved the mosaic of appetizers, which was my entrée. We'll definitely be back, probably soon.

    It was our first time and Istanbul exceeded our expectations. Everything on the extensive menu looked fantastic and we wanted to try it all! Food, service, ambiance, and experience were all on point!

    I love your food and ambiance and friendly waitstaff. Been eating here for years! Thank you. Just want to note that I have celiac and the chef mentioned that the fryer can denature gluten protein to make it safe - I’m a biologist and that’s not true or safe for your customers.     Very pleased with the entire experience at Istanbul. When we looked over the menu we were a little overwhelmed. The waiter was extremely helpful and explained it thoroughly. The food was absolutely delicious. The lamb chops was outstanding. Dessert is a must! The hatay Kuefe was the star of the show!
