Go for the meze platters that look like works of art filled with dips, phyllo pastries, and sourdough pide and pair it with larger plates of local seafood and lamb chops all served in a a rustic space filled with colorful tagines and hanging herbs. We had a fantastic dinner at Istanbul Hawaii! The food was delicious! We had ribeye shish, zatar frites, all perfectly cooked and beautifully served. The dessert we had called hatay kunefe was the most amazing dessert we’ve ever had, there is no words to describe how delicious it tasted! The restaurant ambience and the service are also just perfect!

First time being here. Took my wife here for a date. Ambience was lovely, very unique, server was excellent and explained everything. All the food we tried was incredible. Looking forward to our return so we can try more amazing things.

This is one of our favorite restaurants but for some reason we haven’t been in several months. We love the new expanded menu and that they replaced the pita bread with their new sourdough flat bread! So Ono! Baba ganoush is the best anywhere and my son and I split the Wagyu ribeye shish and the cauliflower shawarma, great combination. Best Mediterranean grindz on the island

I’ve been there a couple times and every time I sit there I feel like I’m somewhere else. Service was very good. The food was amazing! And the ambiance takes you to a place where you’ll forget your in Hawai’i. Also the menu has a little story about the chefs. I love the fact it’s own by a mother and daughter. I’m always here to support any small businesses.

I recently returned to this incredible Turkish restaurant after a couple of years, and it’s only gotten better! The food is a true reflection of Türkiye’s flavors, with every dish made from high-quality ingredients and perfectly balanced, authentic spices. The meze platter is an excellent way to sample a variety of flavors, and every item on it was outstanding. The muhammara, baba ganoush, hummus, and sourdough pide were particular standouts—each one more delicious than the last. The beef and lamb shish are a must-try; they’re incredibly tender and flavorful, while the pirzola (lamb chops) were perfectly cooked and just melt-in-your-mouth. The quality of the meat is exceptional, and it shows in every bite. For dessert, we had kunefe and vanilla ice cream, and both were fantastic. But the real surprise came when the owner, Aydın Bey, treated us to a generous portion of bread pudding as a gesture of hospitality. It had the perfect balance of sweetness, pistachio, and a generous scoop of that same delicious vanilla ice cream on top. Even though we were full, we couldn't leave a bite behind—it was just too good to waste! The service was impeccable, too. Our server managed to time our meal perfectly, giving us the space to enjoy each dish without rushing, yet ensuring we never had to wait. The restaurant’s decor beautifully combines modern and traditional Turkish elements, making it a warm and inviting place to enjoy a meal. If you want a real taste of Turkiye, this place is an absolute must while you are in Waikiki!

I am SO GLAD I found this place! I will definitely make it one of my usual spots. I must warn you though, GPS is not telling you how to get here! We followed GPS and we're so lost and half hour late ! Look for Merriman restaurant- then walk around the outside to the back, that's how we finally found it. It is WELL WORTH THE SEARCH !!!

Need a place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends. The eggs and shish were awesome. The ribeye was tender and cooked to perfection.

The food was amazing but our server was absent minded, slow and left a great chasm of opportunity on the table. The folks that sat down next to us got up and left after 20 minutes of not being spoken to. If it was just my immediate family I can deal with it but when you are entertaining others it frankly a little embarrassing. Food was amazing though as always...
