Our first visit here was really great. The food, the ambiance, the attentive service... We loved it. This time though, wasn't so good. We arrived a few minutes early and they showed us to our table. It was in some separate area. I assume business is good and they had to rent more space. The room was very brightly litand instead of the Italian music, they were playing Christmas music. Our appetiser was delicious but it took forever to be delivered. Then out main dishes were crammed into the tiny table. The salmon was over cooked. When we finished, we waited a very long time and had to flag down our waiter. He apologized but it seemed like he couldn't wait for us to go.

My husband loves branzino and ordered that and it was dry and well overdone. I got the lasagna which had great flavor but was very saucy and soupy. The restaurant was super loud and very very difficult to talk and hear each other and we were a table of 4. Pretty cramped inside. This was our first time here. We travel to Italy a lot and heard this was very authentic, which I think the recipes and offerings were, but just not prepared as we thought they would be. Very friendly and good service, but it would be a one and done for us.

The food was delicious. The noise level made it impossible to chat. I would return sooner, but will wait for the weather to allow for outdoor seating.

I usually love Isola Osteria as the food is wonderful. Saturday night the noise level was unbearable. We have been happy eating outside when the weather was decent. The indoor tables are too close together to mitigate the sound level. This is the second time that dining inside was unpleasant due to the noise. All it takes is one rowdy table to make everyone have to talk louder to hear each other. The wait staff also seemed stressed trying to deal with the overcrowding. They are usually very good. I will continue to patronize this restaurant on less busy days or when we can eat outside. Again - the food is really good as are the wine selections.

Great local eatery with excellent staff and food. Lamb shank was excellent and the drinks were great.
