It would have been perfect if it had Italian music in the background. The music really ruined the atmosphere. There was nothing about it that said “Italian”.

Food tasty but a bit too salty, especially the oil dip for the bread. Great ambience, decor & service!

Our group of 8 enjoyed a wonderful luncheon, with excellent food & service. Sicilian-Italian, with suitable options for all. We were not rushed, receiving very attentive service & were able to split checks for our table. Location is superb, downtown Danville. Strong recommend.

This was our first time and we dined outside. From the moment we sat down you could tell they were understaffed as it took 20 minutes to order a drink. We had heard good things about the food and then our appetizer arrived cold. We should have complained but by the time it arrived we were too hungry. I will the entrees were very good, the right temperature and very tasty. Overall a good experience but not rushing back.

Great food and service! We ate inside because it was 100 degrees...again...so we thought we'd brave the "noisy" indoors. Turns out it was only half full on a Sunday at 6:00 p.m. and older people so it was very quiet. We could see how the acoustics were going to make it a very noisy place; hard surfaces everywhere. Our waiter outperformed our needs, as did the bartender, who came over to check on the quality of the Sicilian Etna Rosso wine I was drinking. We loved it, but outdoors looks even better (once the temp dropped!). Note: wine list is expensive and there aren't any "fallback"-priced everyday wines, so be prepared for a little sticker shock.

Really liked being greeted by Angelo when we arrived. It is encouraging to see a Sicilian restaurant become so popular, and have Mama Dalo's specialties on the menu. The La Siciliana salad was amazing!

We tried Osteria Isola at lunch for the first time with another couple. The free parking lot was adjacent to the restaurant, so access was easy. The menu had many selections and we had a difficult time making a decision as everything looked so good. The food did not disappoint. The pasta dishes were excellent! We look forward to returning again soon.
