This is a hidden gem with authentic Japanese food and sake. The setting is lovely, the service personal, and the food excellent. The flavors are fresh and distinct and they even accommodated a gluten free request beautifully. We added a sake flight (one glass is included with the set dinner) and enjoyed learning about the care with which they brew their sake (we asked even more questions). We will be going back for a third time, trust me. Don’t miss this unique experience!

Exquisite, precise, authentic, cultural, educational, mind blowing and amazing. Attention to detail at every level. Multiple sake glasses, dishes, foods, sake. Simply amazing. Worth every dollar. Our waiter/host is steeped in the history, origins and makings of the sake ad all the plates of food. We plan to bring our mother-in-law who is from Hiroshima. We’ll done Islander Sake Brewery, we’ll done .

Wonderful experience. Great local made sake accompanying our Omekase. Tama, our host and waiter provided excellent T service and explained all the details of the various sake we were tasting and dishes we were eating. Bit of a hidden gem in the Hapuna Golf Course. clubhouse building. If you are driving or UBERing to the place, you need to put the Hapuna Golf Course as the location. Very reasonable priced for the set course Omakase with the accompanying sake. Will try again the next time I’m here

Great service and fantastic foods. The tufu and kampachi were delicious. The sake and food pairings were the best. Going back to get 2 bottles of sake. Service very good and server very nice. Food and sake pairing value very good. Thank you for a memorable evening .

Great, hidden gem. Sake was amazing, and it is all brewed on site by them, so they can give all the details. Food was also delicious, creative and so fresh. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique dinner on the Big Island.

There is no food with the sake tasting. What there is involves tasting at least five different sakes and a tour of the brewing facilities. We learned a lot and have a new appreciation for the process, the flavors and the tradition. Highly recommended!

Amazing sake, we got to try five of the ten sakes that are brewed there, had some lovely little plates of food along side the sake. It was extremely interesting learning about how the business started & the process of making the delicious sake, plus the history of the master brewer. we got to purchase several bottles to take home, it’s just a shame you can only buy them in Hawaii Arigatou 🙏
