At the Island Way Grill, we're all about fresh fish. Our own boats make daily trips to the middle grounds to bring back fresh tuna, mahi, snapper and other local varieties. No long-line fish here-just hook, rod, and reel. If it's any fresher, it is still in the gulf. Most of our cooking revolves around our oak and citrus fired open pit, which sears at an extremely high temperature and adds a delicious smokiness to everything grilled. You'll find an abundance of fresh herbs and only the best quality seasonings. Fresh vegetables are used throughout our menu, and all soups and sauces are hand-prepared. We are also proud to provide an excellent selection of the worlds best oysters flown in fresh for your enjoyment. In addition to our menu, our chefs prepare a varied assortment of daily specials that always add an element of interest to our every-day offerings.

Service (Britt) was friendly and attentive. Facility was located on backwaters of the Gulf with picturesque water views. Valet parking was convenient and quick. Food was mixed--freshly shucked Virginia sourced oysters were delicious and plentiful; peel your own shrimp were large, nicely seasoned and tasty; deviled eggs had strange taste to them; sushi was picked over and in need of replenishment; carvery ham was delicious as was the sliced sirloin; plenty of selection at the dessert bar and the chocolate mousse and canolis were the winners. Priced at $39/person, the oysters alone were worth the price (had 2 1/2 dozen)!!! Definitely a good value but still a long ride for us --- about 50 minutes!

We had dinner with 2 of our friends to spend time together. Jaime was our server, he did a good job and checked on us. Unfortunately, the kitchen did not prepare our order of Crispy Cauliflower and it showed up when our meal was almost finished. Otherwise, the drinks were good and the rest of the meal was delicious. Thank you for a great evening!

Oysters Rockefeller drastically overcooke. Filet over cooked, chicken piccata says panko breaded, came grilled, lobster roll, awful. Barely any meat and almost every bite was claw meat.

We kicked off the evening at our favorite spot, Island Way Grill a cozy island gem in Clearwater. I sipped on a perfectly crafted classic cosmopolitan, compliments of the talented bartender. Seated in a cozy booth, we were surprised with a sweet Happy Anniversary card. To start, we indulged in oysters Rockefeller, and for my main, I chose the volcano sushi. All delicious! We will be back. Thanks again Island Way.

A nice Sunday brunch. Had GF desert and entrees options labeled which was appreciated. The made to order omelet - excellent. It was loaded with fresh, quality ingredients and made to perfection.

The fillet was cooked perfect, did not even need to use a knife . We also had the chefs special, crispy onion crusted salmon, which was amazing.
