At the Island Way Grill, we're all about fresh fish. Our own boats make daily trips to the middle grounds to bring back fresh tuna, mahi, snapper and other local varieties. No long-line fish here-just hook, rod, and reel. If it's any fresher, it is still in the gulf. Most of our cooking revolves around our oak and citrus fired open pit, which sears at an extremely high temperature and adds a delicious smokiness to everything grilled. You'll find an abundance of fresh herbs and only the best quality seasonings. Fresh vegetables are used throughout our menu, and all soups and sauces are hand-prepared. We are also proud to provide an excellent selection of the worlds best oysters flown in fresh for your enjoyment. In addition to our menu, our chefs prepare a varied assortment of daily specials that always add an element of interest to our every-day offerings.

We were left waiting for bread for almost 15 min, no appetizers came out also. It was about to rain and they put us aside where we would clearly get wet if it rains and the lady manager was rude and had an attitude. We ended up getting up and leaving, no need to wait around for the rain and the bread. Horrible service very very disappointed

Our experience at Island Way Grill was beyond disappointing. We checked in at 4:55 PM for our 5:00 PM reservation, only to be seated at 5:40 PM—nearly an hour later. The wait was longer than our entire dinner, which speaks volumes about the mismanagement at this establishment. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was non-existent. Leana, the lead host, set the tone for the evening with her rude and unempathetic demeanor. She left a horrible first impression, and had we not driven far and valeted our car, we would have left immediately. Unfortunately, the seater wasn't much better, but it's understandable given the apparent lack of leadership. Once seated, the service continued to reflect the chaos we had witnessed. We weren't greeted until 5:51 PM, and by that time, our patience was wearing thin. The timeline of our meal was as follows: bread at 5:59 PM, salad at 6:10 PM, and the main course at 6:21 PM. By 6:35 PM, our table was cleared, and dessert arrived at 6:41 PM. We were out the door by 6:54 PM, wondering why we had endured such a lackluster experience. Adding to the frustration was the ceiling dripping next to our table, despite it being a beautiful day with no rain in sight. Every table around us seemed to share in our misery, making it clear that this restaurant is on a downward spiral. The absence of visible management further exacerbated the situation. If there is any leadership overseeing operations, they should seriously consider intervention from corporate because it appears this brand no longer cares about hospitality. Island Way Grill is an institution in decline, and with the way it’s being run, I wouldn’t be surprised if it closes soon. There’s simply no reason to be treated this way, and it's a detriment to the entire industry. My advice…skip it.

The food was amazing, no shortage of anything, no disappointment there. Especially the kitchen extras such as eggs benedict, smoked salmon and capers on bagel, and avocado toast! My only regret is that I can't fit more of it!

We have been many times over the years. I was a little disappointed there was not an option for plain waffles or pancakes for the kid’s.
