Beautiful view of the river and city of Richmond. The lumpia and River Monster are fantastic, and Kiana is extremely accommodating.

Service was great. Food not so much. My coconut shrimp was burnt and had to be returned. The other meals were cheese blobs and greasy. The menu is limited. The atmosphere is wonderful, but we will not be returning.

I come often but this was my first time bringing my dogs! We had such a nice time relaxing after a long walk. Jake brought them waters, Aleesha brought them some cold pineapple chunks and Kiana the manager checked to make sure we were cool enough. The drinks and crab dip were awesome!

This was our first experience at Island Shrimp Co. It did not disappoint. Our drinks were fabulous; our entrées were amazing. Our waitress was so friendly and competent and welcoming. Definitely need to return!

We come to the Island Shrimp Company about every other month. On this trip we sat outside and had a marvelous view of the James River and Richmond. Our server, Emre, was on top of everything we needed from extra napkins for the peel and eat shrimp, to keeping our drink glasses full. My wife loves their garlic shrimp boat, the flavor of the pineapple serving dish adds to the meal. I have a blackened Mahi-Mahi, which I always enjoy, a good size portion of fish, blackened and topped with a pineapple salsa. It’s about a 45 minute drive from our home to the Island, but well worth the trip. It can get a little loud inside, but that is mainly because the folks there are enjoying the food, the drinks, and the experience.

Great food and service, accompanied by the views of Richmond and the James. The staff and management do a wonderful job here, perfect for a date night or bringing family.

I’ve been to IS many times it ok. It’s absolutely time to revamp the menu. It’s tired and stale. Love to location ambience overall. I’ll say it again it’s time to step it up.
