I made a reservation for 7 people at Isabella on a Saturday night for my son's 18th birthday celebration. We had a wonderful time. The restaurant was bustling which we enjoy, and it felt warm and inviting on a chilly November evening. We were seated and received an introduction to our waitstaff promptly. Drinks followed very soon after. The food coming out of kitchen looked and smelled amazing. My table ordered a few appetizers consisting of scallops and fried calamari. I have to say the entire table raved over the scallops and how perfectly they were seared. We were talking about them the next morning! They tasted sweet and probably the best I have had in a while (I eat them frequently). The fried calamari was fresh, crispy and light (not oily). Needless to say, there were no leftovers from the appetizers. Our entrees arrived in a well-timed manner after the appetizers were cleared and they were outstanding. I ordered the chicken marsala and it was delicious. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfected. My friend across from me ordered the chicken piccata and was also extremely satisfied. My son ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and he was very happy about it. I can't recall what everyone else further down the table had, but the entire table was all smiles. Portions were decent size, we all took food home for lunch the next day. We were offered dessert but everyone was too full! Next time I will be trying dessert for sure. I paid the check for the entire table as it was my son's birthday - and I have to say for the high-quality experience, food, and service that we received the check was not as large as I anticipated (especially as this was Boston and again, a party of 7). I can't wait to go back and sample more of this menu. I also loved the cozy atmosphere. Thank you Isabella for a great night! A dinner my son will remember.

We decided to try this lovely restaurant instead of our long standing favorite in the North End of Boston.This place is now our new favorite. Friendly staff, fabulous food and a nice atmosphere! We can’t wait to return!

The restaurant is tiny so our fellow diners kept getting into our conversation. I asked for a martini on the rocks and was told that couldn’t be done. The bruschetta was fantastic but the ravioli was too dense.

Called ahead of reservations to tell them I would be 15 minutes early. Try to ask for a table closer to entrance since my dad is handicapped. The said the don’t accommodate. Arrived 15 minutes early and they were helpful at getting my dad up one huge step up to the main entrance. They sat us in the very back for a table of 5. I said our reservation was for 3. Too late my dad was already in the seat and I wasn’t going to move him. Our wait staff was very attentive. They bring out warm bread with olive oil/parmesean cheese which was a nice touch. We shared the calamari with marinara/ fried peppers. It would have been better without the marinara and served with lemon/parm. We also shared the Burrata with procuitto. Very yummy and nice presentation. Next we had our main dish the seafood pasta and the tagliatelle. They were delicious. Restaurant was very clean. Bathroom is downstairs in the basement. I would recommend the restaurant and would return.

Excellent Italian food in Boston's North End. It is a small restaurant and you definitely need reservations on the weekend - we made our reservation weeks in advance. Food and service are excellent, and prices are reasonable.

Delicious food! Pricing as expected in the heart of North End. Service was great. Small restaurant so you're very close to other diners, which wasn't a big deal for us. Though I would say due to that, make reservations!
