Met a friend for dinner tonight. Very enjoyable experience. Food and beer were excellent. Service was a little slow but that was okay because we weren’t in a hurry.

Had reservations but was sat a little more than 15 minutes late making us a bit late to our event at the Hershey Theatre. Not very happy about that.

Always look forward to dining at Iron Hill but slightly disappointed this time around based on the entrees. We had a cup of the Gumbo soup and House Salad to start which were both excellent as were the drinks: unsweetened ice tea and sangria. Our entrees: 1. Country Schnitzel: We’ve had the Schnitzel several times before and LOVED it but something has changed and we didn’t care for the Andouille Sausage Gravy. It was Ok but not up to the standards of the previous Schnitzel recipe in our opinions. 2. Half Rack of Ribs: on the plus side the meat was very tender and fell right off the bone so it was very easy to eat. Unfortunately neither the meat nor the sauce was particularly flavorful and would rate the ribs as average at best. The fries were delicious but a bit too salty; coleslaw was mediocre. Service was excellent in spite of a very packed house. We will definitely return but hope that this was only a temporary hiccup in the entree quality.

The coconut shrimp appetizer was amazing - the pineapple salsa added to the presentaiton. The margherita pizza was disappointing. The edge of the pizza were so hard that we were not able to eat it - the pizza was not cut equally and the the sauce was too soupy. the mozzarella did add to the flavor. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently. We were surprised at the lack of people being a King of the Hill event.

This was the fifth time we have eaten here, but the first since Feb. 2024. The quality of the food has definitely declined since our last visit. The noise level from piped-in music was very high and made it hard to hold conversations across the table.

We enjoying going to Iron Hill Brewery for date nights - the food is tasty and we enjoy the atmosphere. It is a bit loud so if you are looking for a quiet, family gathering, might want to ask for a quieter section, if possible.
