Staffing shortage led to server taking a long time to make initial greeting. Took a long time to get our check. as server was not seen in our area.

Food took a very long time to get to the table of four people . Server must have been aware as she brought us sample beer which was very good. One meal was cold and was returned when others st the table we’re done eating.just an all around unpleasant experience

I guess everyone has a bad day. We usually go to the Huntingdon Rd. location which is always wonderful. Not so much at the Chestnut Hill location. Restaurant was very warm inside which should have been our first warning sign. I know it was a hot day but it was quite uncomfortable inside. But our party of six stayed. Everything was fine until the entree my husband and i ordered to split arrived. The country pork schnitzel with gravy was brought to our table with what appeared to be sloppy joe poured over it instead of the creamy andouille sausage gravy it's normally paired with. (I'm being nice, the appearance of what was plopped on top of the schnitzel looked way worse than sloppy joe). We took one look at told our server that it was wrong and she said she thought so too. So why bring it out? We asked for it to be remade only to find out that that was the last of it. Huh? At six' pm? To add insult to injury, my husband ordered the sauteed green beans as a side and instead we received a bowl of plain steamed green beans. In defense of the server and manager (?), they were apologetic and offered to bring us something else but by that point everyone else at the table was halfway through their food so we declined. They also said that someone in the kitchen was "looking for some more gravy in the fridge". Um. No. Didn't you just say that was the last order of the schnitzel? Just a really bad experience and looks like the kitchen staff should bear the brunt of the blame. Again, never had a bad experience at Huntingdon. Always spot on. We won't go back to this location.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food at Iron Hill. We ordered the special which was over $25.00 per plate and it looked like frozen vegetables, it advertised fingerling potatoes which were only two small ones cut into two and the salmon was small. All of this was served on large plate thus half of the plate was empty. I got the rootbeer on tap and it was flat. Sad that this was not the best experience dining and definitely not worth the price.

The Iron Hill in Chestnut Hill is a gem in the neighborhood. Parking can be hard to find. The food is good and the service is great.

A small celebration for my father’s 91st birthday. We provided our own cupcakes. The food was good and the service was outstanding. We had everything from wings, to shrimp and grits, to pizza, nachos, salad, etc. Nice place for a small (7 person) celebration.
