Originaire de la côte est du Maryland, le chef Anthony Chittum a gagné sa réputation non seulement pour sa cuisine, mais aussi pour son engagement à s'approvisionner dans un réseau d'agriculteurs, de pêcheurs et d'artisans alimentaires locaux. Puisant leur inspiration dans les cuisines de la Grèce, de la Sicile, de la Sardaigne et du sud de l'Italie, le chef Chittum et son équipe interprètent ces différentes traditions et techniques en utilisant les meilleurs produits de la région du Mid-Atlantic. En soirée, l'Iron Gate propose un menu dégustation dans la salle à manger. Vous pourrez opter pour un menu dégustation de 4 plats (60 USD par personne, plus 40 USD pour l'accord mets et boissons), un menu dégustation de 6 plats (80 USD par personne, plus 50 USD pour l'accord mets et boissons), ou le menu dégustation du chef (110 USD par personne, plus 90 USD pour l'accord mets et vins). Vous serez invité à personnaliser votre expérience en choisissant vos plats dans les différentes catégories du menu. Perfect spot for our anniversary. The staff was incredibly attentive throughout and the food was delicious. We did the four courses and the wine pairing and were impressed every step of the way by the taste, presentation, and attention to detail. We will definitely be coming back!

A lovely lunch on their vine covered terrace. Food was delicious and promptly served. Staff was attentive and gracious about letting us stay past serving time to catch up with old friends. Will definitely come again.

Went for lunch - excellent fritto misto - gyro was quite large and can be shared. Great selection of Greek wines. Service was exceptional.

Love love LOVE Iron Gate! This was my third time here; I brought my best friends who were visiting from out of the country. The setting is beautiful, as always; and the service was friendly, attentive, and professional. Our waiter, Darien, was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious... even with all the courses on the family table, we were served a couple extra "bonus" dishes. Soooooo much food... we all left stuffed, having had not a single bad dish. Highly recommend and I know I'll be back!

Stumbled upon this restaurant when looking to have dinner with my husband while visiting DC. The reviews looked promising so I booked the table. We were seated in a timely manner and were lead to the dining room through the long bar at the front of the restaurant. The server was very knowledgeable and told us a little bit about the restaurant. It’s interesting to hear about the history that you can literally smell in the air. The food was delicious and the whole atmosphere was vey pleasant. The courtyard looked very nice too and hopefully we can be back soon to experience another lovely dish at this place.

The chilled red pepper soup with maryland crab was absolutely delicious! Pair it with a beautiful caesar salad and I was in heaven. The outdoor seating was so nice on a perfect weather day. Service was great and we'll be back.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL food and service!!! I could not have wished for a better experience. Staff was attentive, food was outstanding and I would highly recommend!! This place is great for casual dining but also for a special occasion, it's that good!
