We were seated and waited 20 min before a server came. Our brunch took 1 hour to come out and then my salmon was undercooked “I asked for it to be week done” my spouse ordered a mushroom burger and got a plain burger. They service was awful no water until we got up to get a server. Just awful

Perfect location, but service a bit slow (under staffed I think). Sushi tasted like it was made in the morning or somewhere else - avoid. Wings were good.

Excellent experience, everything was great, from decor to food. Excellent service, the server made great suggestions and prices are very reasonable. Portions are also great.

Great patio on the waterfront and quiet. Good variety both in food options and cocktails/alcoholic beverages. Found good value for the dishes ordered and friendly staff. I did not find service slow at all, as some reviews mentioned, but maybe because it wasn't super busy. This is my 2nd time here and will definitely come again!

We've been to Irene a bunch of times, since the rebrand (it was called Against the Grain before), every time hoping that the food would get better, but unfortunately our expectations keeps being frustrated. It seems clear to us now that this place doesn't really pay effort with the food, which is average at best, because their location (on the lake shore) will bring them the crowd no matter. This is pretty sad. It could be a nicely located restaurant, with nice food, but it fails on the latter. As to the service, it is also average. We waited seated for a long time before being handed menus, we had to go fetch a waiter to get cutlery, or an extra glass for the kid (which did not seem to account for a person in their eyes), and during one of these interactions, we were told by the person we talked to that they were not our server, in a rather brusque way. We're just customers, how tasks or sections are broken down among the staff should not be our problem. We'll probably skip Irene for the foreseeable future and won't recommend it to friends and people anymore. Changing name is not enough, guys.

Honestly, we had really high hopes for this place. The location is beautiful and the ambience is great! Came here for my sister’s bachelorette hoping it would be a good experience. however, the service was really slow and really bad. We came on a very hot day and we waited over 25 mins for water that we had asked for once we sat down. The place seemed unstaffed and not well equipped to handle indoor and outdoor dining. The food was good but portion sizes were really small. At the end we waited 40 mins to get our bills and had to call multiple people to get our server. Truly such a shame because the location & atmosphere is so beautiful but unfortunately the service was too bad to return again, not recommended, especially if you want to celebrate a special occasion

We asked for a water side table but the last one was given to the walk-ins just before us. Food was ok. Shrimp was frozen. Not worth the money.
