insideOUT is Hillcrest's elevated restaurant and lounge and San Diego's only urban oasis! We are an 18+ venue.

The menu is curated by Executive Chef Johnny Duran and is updated seasonally to reflect his creative approach to California-Mediterranean inspired fare, using the freshest ingredients provided by our local purveyors.

    The hostess seemed like she was having a bad day or simply wasn't welcoming as one would expect from a host/hostess. We brought a bottle of champagne to have with brunch and we always shared a glass with someone in our vicinity. The person opening our bottle wasn't well versed in opening champagne as he popped the cork and our champagne spilled over. He was gracious enough to complement us with a couple of house champagne glasses but, unfortunately it wasn't palatable for us to have. The food was great however, the eggs were on the cooler side along with the potatoes when it arrived. The French toast was probably the best of the two. Service was good, staff attentive and prompt with every request. We want to go back for dinner next time. Until then, I recommend you try it. Do expect a high noise level from patrons at the bar that assume that it's ok to be excessively loud.

    This place is such a treat! I’ve been twice now for brunch and both times were phenomenal. The food is excellent and I love that it is realistic serving sizes and reasonably priced. Parking can be challenging but it’s worth it!

    It was overall a very good experience! Great atmosphere and excellent service. Food was overpriced for the quantity that you get, but overall good food and good drinks.

    Service was amazing very happy with our waiter, I’d definitely go back it was very festive. Food was ok nothing special but above average..
