Insalata's Restaurant is moving into it's 28th year of the community minded restaurants in San Anselmo. Insalata's receives Bib Gourmand from Michelin for it's 15th year in a row.
Our goal at Insalata's has always been to bring luscious Mediterranean food, gracious service and a warm atmosphere to our diners. For over 28 years we have shared this experience of intimate dining and joyful celebrations in a variety of ways. First and foremost as a fine dining restaurant with our beautiful private Siena room in which to sit and relax and enjoy a meal. We also offer take out dining for those days when time is of the essence, or catered affairs where we bring great food and staff into your home or venue. Our guests have become family and we have grown together in the community in which we all live and work. Everyone at Insalata's is extremely proud to be a part of this extended "village" family.

    Once again an outstanding dinner and evening at Insalata's! Love this restaurant for it's beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and the always delicious food. The spices and parings make the dishes unique and flavor filled ~ last night our table enjoyed the mezze plate, the infamous yogurt marinated grilled chicken, a beautiful swordfish, delicious lamp chops with turkish spices and the house made ricotta gnocchetti with lamb ragout ~ highly recommend them all!

    Lovely restaurant. Excellent food. The grilled prawn salad was delicious and light. The french fries with the burger were amazing with some kind of lovely seasoning on them. They have a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Overall, an excellent experience.

    As always, a fantastic dining experience. The pork chops were perfectly prepared as were the vegetarian tagline and appetizers. Excellent service and ambiance

    I am familiar with the wonderful meals that Insalata prepares, but last night we brought friends from Philadelphia--a town where they are overwhelmed with great restaurants. They couldn't stop talking about Insalata's, of course. Go San Anselmo!

    It was all good except we had a five oclock dinner res. and got there 15 minutes before, as their instructions on the website said to do. However, they did not open until 5pm so we had to wait. Fortunately, we had gone in the side door so we got in and could wait inside instead of out front, and we were served well with napkins and water at a top table in the front window so no problem.

    Busboy excellent Waiter not so good. Waiter didn't spent much time with us. Weweretwo olderwomen. I gave the bus boy $5 cash tothank him for his attention
