Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.
Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. The ambiance is intimate, rustic, and elegant. It’s country with a touch of class, and decorated in a style that is a reflection of Mike’s personal interest. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mike married Mary along the Big Wood River in 2010, and the Inn has become a true family affair. Mike’s philosophy is “Keep it fresh and keep it simple.” His staff is personally hand picked and will make every effort to meet your expectations. The Inn at Tres Pinos is the only four-star restaurant in San Benito Country.

We had the most wonderful evening at Tres Pinos Inn! This little gem of a restaurant is such a treasure in our area. The meal was one of the best I’ve had in years and the lamb was outstanding! It might even been the best rack of lamb I’ve ever had. Perfect service and can’t wait to go back.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the Inn staff made it a special night for us. Great food and great service.

All four entrees were too salty. Cup of soup was good, but very small portion. Salad was decent. Brought our own wine and paid the corkage fee because their wines are overpriced. The dining room was a bit too dark. The chocolate mousse dessert was too heavy, chunky, and artificial tasting. The service was very good.

Love The Inn at Tres Pinos! Our server Julie was amazing. Attentive and helpful from start to finish. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfect, I had it prepared with their Pistachio Dijon crusted with balsamic thyme jus. Calamari never disappoints along with their tasty oysters. Will definitely be going back.

Our absolute favorite place to eat at. The Lamb is our go to dish every time we come. I would honestly recommend it to anyone. If you’re not a lamb fan this will change your mind. Outside of that dish, everything else is just as great.

Very happy with our experience eating at Inn at Tres Pinos. The service was great and they allowed us to bring our Husky to the outdoor seating area. The drinks, entrees and desserts were all really tasty and they even made sure our Husky was comfortable by bringing him water and treats. Thank you for the great food, service and experience. Would definitely come back!
