Blackpool has so many fantastic places to eat, but our delightful Palm Court restaurant is the place for a sumptuous, relaxing dinner. The Victorian dining room is full of grandeur and our restaurant team always go that little bit further to make serving a meal a magical experience.

The views in the restaurant are spectacular, with sweeping vistas across the Fylde coast and the occasional heritage tram tootling by. Diners can soak in the scenery while enjoying fine dining from the table d’hôte menu that changes quarterly, according to the seasons.

We also have a range of daily specials, with our chefs using locally sourced produce whenever possible to ensure that only the best and freshest ingredients are used. The restaurant has flexible seating arrangements, so we can cater for large parties and children are also well catered for, thanks to the family dining options.

At The Imperial, you aren’t just offered a pot of tea and a bit of cake; the experience is composed of many delicious elements (both savoury and sweet!) that you’ll love. Not to mention the professional and attentive service from our talented team. You’ll be served a small cup of soup and a hearty sausage roll in addition to sandwiches, scones and cake. The sandwiches are delicate and tasty on soft bread. There’s nothing “usual” about the sweet treats, either! There’s an array of bite-sized delights which have been lovingly prepared to really showcase the talents of our pastry chef and to really tantalise the palette. We have a wide range of enjoyable teas, but if you want a little more drama in your afternoon tea, we can add some fizz!

We booked a table last minute and ate at 7.45pm ... The waiting staff were all friendly and welcoming .... Our food on the other hand was very disappointing.... My husband had the prawns to start which were very bland and tasteless and we both ordered steaks ... My steak was cooked to perfection and chips were lovely ... His meal on the other hand was like it had been cooked by someone else... His steak was blue ( meant to be medium) and his chips solid ... We sent his back to be cooked further ... When it returned his rump had turned in to sirloin and was cooked to within an inch of it's life. . Chips still hard and instead of peppercorn sauce he now had a tomato type sauce ... Exasperated and starving he ate it and we left ... My son's pizza was amazing .... For a bill of £115 ( a couple of drinks included) the meal was certainly not worth it.

I booked for Sunday Lunch for my Wife and I ,at The Imperial Hotel Blackpool, last Sunday 28th/July. You requested some feedback regarding our visit, here it is, as follows: Our first impression was only 2 tables were occupied, I thought this was strange for Blackpool's ,certainly best known Hotel, for the height of the summer season, at lunch time on a weekend. It became obvious to us why, as we experienced our visit. Staff on the other hand were well mannered and polite, we were told to help ourselves to the salad bar, we found it very disappointing one or possibly 2 bowls in a large piece of industrial sized furniture, the salad ,what limited choice we had was freshly prepared. The table was set, and prepared with the usual cutlery and crockery, expected with a good standard lunch out, a small side plate and knife suggested a roll and butter, when I asked the waitress, she said we do not serve bread rolls, my thoughts at that time was that the whole experience was run on limited funding. The meal came, Roast Beef, Yorkshire pudding, and the usual, the Yorkshire pudding was not fresh therefor did not taste how it should, and the carrots had not been cooked, our forks would not penetrate them, we left the meal, We walked out, paying only for the drinks. Many years ago, I had to book in advance to have lunch in that very same dining room, six of my family would have a magnificent lunch, every table was occupied, we had music, quite often a magician for the children, people would queue up for their starters, and you could have soup as well if you wanted, staff would ask if you would like a brown or white roll, I cant remember what we paid but we quite happily paid the asking price. It is hard to believe that such an Iconic Hotel, a beautiful building in a prime spot, cannot do better than what we unfortunately experienced, yes times have changed, but if the quality was available, with the right management and advertising, that dining room could be a success again.

Excellent food. Excellent service and really nice environment. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the food was really good as it always has been on my previous visits.

Food was very disappointing. My pork was tough . Potato very disappointing and overcooked. Not worth the money . I won’t be returning. Their saving grace was our waiter who was very efficient and courteous.

I last visited the hotel over 20 years ago. Not one thing had changed, it was ready for a bit of a face lift back then and certainly could do with a refresh now.

We enjoyed our afternoon tea experience immensely. We would definitely recommend it. Great value for money, delicious and fantastic surroundings. The waiter, Chris who served us also added to the experience with his fun and professional personality.

Highly recommended. The sparkling afternoon tea is such good value. The quality of the food is extremely high, and there is plenty of it. A delicious selection of soup, dainty pastries, finger sandwiches scones and desserts. The mini banoffee tartlets are heavenly! Coffee or tea comes in pots so there is more than a single cup per person. The fizzy wine is gorgeously light and refreshing.
