Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

Quality ingredients, flavoursome food , great staff, pretty informal. This restaurant is a real gem. It really deserves it’s Bib Gourmand Will definitely be going back soon

Fourth time I’ve been to Imad’s. This time I came in the week and had the express menu, which is great value.

The food was fantastic and I would definitely return for this reason. Our waiter was efficient and nothing went wrong, but... he was quite robotic and not welcoming. It did put a bit of a dampener on the vibe. It was incredibly hot in the restaurant, so hot we couldn't stay for dessert. It was a warm night though, so would try again!

We’ve been many times now to Imad’s Syrian Kitchen. The food and service is always very good. However, this time we were given a table between the kitchen and bar, so it was both noisy, crowded and hot. The food seemed to come out quickly so despite many plates of food for 4 people, we were finished in an hour. Not the usual convivial, enjoyable dining experience we were after.

Great experience at Imad’s, the food was incredibly tasty and the staff were really friendly and efficient. Will definitely recommend and hope to return soon.
