Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

Attentive staff and tasty food. It was Saturday evening so very crowded and hence noisy. It was difficult to hear other people at the table. We’ll go back another moment of the week.

Wonderful lunch, as always delicious food coupled with a buzzing environment and lovely friendly staff. Have now been a dozen times and never fails to impress.

Wow-factor on your plate! Very, very hard to find as this place is hidden but worth finding. Somewhat similar to Lebanese cooking but a little different, well prepared and delicious!

It’s obvious that these people know how it works. To be attentive and efficient without being too formal is a skill matched by the food which is all that original flavour of Syria and the region.

Absolutely delicious. Stick a pin in the menu and you will have a delicious meal wherever it lands. Was disappointed the Syrian doughnuts were no longer on the menu, but if enough people ask, then they have to bring it back! If you go, please ask about them.

One of the best food I’ve had in London. The aubergine for the mains was top notch! I’ve had some really amazing roasted aubergines but this has beaten anything I’ve tried so far. Loved the lamb and rice as well, a very delicate and flavour dish made by the chef. I would recommend this to all my friends.

The food was amazing and loved everything that we ordered- stand out was the Suda. Unfortunately the meal felt very rushed. When I booked the table I was unaware that the kitchen would close 15 min after our seating. Throughout the meal we were pushed to order and finish our food uncomfortably fast. I will consider returning for the food - just will book for early in the evening next time! Was pleased to discover that he has a cookbook which I am eager to check out.
