Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

Just as expected, Imad’s Kitchen lived up to the hype. The food was absolutely delicious—every single dish that came out of the kitchen was amazing. I celebrated my birthday there, and it was a perfect choice. The service was warm and attentive, something that feels increasingly rare in London these days. The lamb shank was outstanding, the skewers were perfectly cooked, the baba ghanoush was rich and smoky, and the pita was wonderfully fluffy. Even the lemonade was refreshingly good. The atmosphere was simple, cozy, and inviting, making it an all-around wonderful experience.

Lovely restaurant in a very pretty setting. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was excellent. The only small negative was the price of the wine, it was very expensive. But overall a really nice meal.

Absolutely beautiful food in a very pretty environment. The service was attentive and friendly, and we really enjoyed the experience. I felt the stater or small plates were particularly small for the price, but the food was perfectly seasoned, tasted amazing and beautifully presented. The large plates (we had rosted aubergine and the okra) were delicious and we enjoyed everything and said we would return to try other dishes. Lovely lunch

The staff were brilliant. Attentive and couldn’t have made our experience any better. I brought a cake for a friends birthday and they were so accommodating. Food was 10/10

Always love going to Imad's Syrian Kitchen. Food is fantastic - we had Baba Ghanoj, Suda (lambs liver), Saroja (aubergine), Falafel and Mudakhan Ghanam (slow roasted lamb). All was delicious and we particularly enjoyed the Mudakhan Ghanam - the flavour combination of herbs and spices alongside the nuts was delicious, and the lamb was super tender as well. The service was fast and the staff were attentive but in no way rushing us. It was a great way to celebrate my friend's birthday. We will definitely be back! Shukran to Imad and his team!

Both the food and the service were excellent. Very busy so noise level quite loud, it was a Friday lunchtime. Our main gripe was being situated right next to the toilet- the door being the only one between us and the toilet interior with occasional accompanying smells which wasn’t pleasant! If you book make sure you’re not near the toilet as everything else was great.
