Had a great dinner here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Our waiter (Michael) was very personable and efficient. We started with beet salad, shrimp cocktail, and butternut squash soup - they were delicious! Our entrees were Veal chop parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, and penne vodka - both the veal and chicken were large and very tender! The penne vodka was done just right. Too filled for dessert. Definitely recommend and we will definitely return.

Although we had the several highlights to our meal. Our party of eight had several issues. The first was an order of steamers served with two closed, a side of risotto that first came out as a side of mushrooms, and then came out as something like rice and mushrooms, but definitely not risotto. The risotto with scallops was really subpar, the side of mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box, but most egregious was the filet mignon that was tiny, way under cut, and overcooked. It was my birthday. and no one wanted to complain, although we did bring to the attention of the waiter, the clams, and of course the wrong side. There were no adjustments to our bill, no apologies or explanations. Sadly, I don’t think we will be returning. As for the dinners -that cost as much as a complete dinner - you receive only the protein and the sides are separate to be ordered separately. We were told they now do this because the chef was becoming annoyed at all of the substitutions. *Which if we didn’t ask, we wouldn’t have been informed. I emailed Il Villagio (via website) Saturday morning and it’s now Sunday night and I haven’t gotten a response so I am leaving this review which I will update if the restaurant contacts me back.

Valet parking only is an automatic turnoff. Service was not great. When we first sat at our table, the light on the table was not working. We asked for a replacement & was given one. That light also didn't work & our table was uncomfortably on the darker side. We asked 3 different people (2 servers & 1 bus person) for a new light. Our waiter was the 3rd person we asked for a new light & he told us the lights were being charged. There were several empty tables that had lights on them, but that was not even considered by the staff. Our appetizers were good, both specials of the night...blue oysters & zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta. Both were delicious. My husband ordered the veal chop @ $56 which came on the plate with absolutely no accompaniment. I ordered shrimp & scallops served with tomatoes & in a white wine sauce. There was hardly any seasoning making the dish very bland. The scallops didn't seem to be washed properly, as they had a sandy taste when bitten into. Our waiter seemed to be overworked, thereby not allowing him to give each of his tables the proper attention. We will not be returning any time soon, if ever.

Always a pleasure eating here. The quality of food and service is consistently high. Last night I had their special halibut. Moist with perfectly crispy skin. My wife had her go to favorite, scallops with risotto. Love this place!

What can you expect at 7 pm on a Sat night? Very busy! Valet parking was extremely efficient. We noted that the occasion was for our anniversary so being seated by the bar was so-so. Food was great as was our server. Service was slow, including when things slowed and we had to ask someone to take our check. Still very good.
