Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value. At IL Sorrento, we are embracing old world charm of Southern Italy & bringing it to Westchester County. Our hope is that you will enjoy being at IL Sorrento as much as we will enjoy serving you

    Absolutely amazing experience. Was packed when we arrived and we had to wait about 45 min for our table but the staff was so attentive to us. They comped us drinks while we were waiting and then same with dessert at the end of our meal. Food was outstanding. Will definitely be back.

    It was our first time there. We were a party of 6 and we weee seated along “the corridor” which was slightly partitioned off from the many tables that seats smaller tables. The noise level was VERY LOUD. The party of 8 seated next to us were obnoxiously loud which contributed to only part of the noise level. I could not even hear my friend speak and she was across the table from me! The food was very good. Lobster bisque was excellent as was the shrimp scampi which I had. Service was good until one person in our group did not get their dinner when everyone else did. We had to flag down the waiter & tell him. It took like 7 minutes while the rest of us waited to eat until he had his food served. That was not good but except for that the server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is nicely decorated. As an important side note not specific to the restaurant, there is no apparent handicap access from the parking lot into the restaurant. No “curb cutouts” or designated handicap spots and as I am a person using a mobility scooter this made it difficult to get into the restaurant.

    The food was ok. I had chicken parm and my husband had the lamb chops. My food was good but I’ve had a lot better. My husband felt the same.The prices were good, the portions decent and the atmosphere was nice. There ended up being a full house on a Saturday night. I felt our waiter rushed us a bit.

    Waited too long despite reservations. Entrance door close to tables. On a cold night it was very disruptive.

    We came in with no expectations and were very pleasantly surprised to find a very well run restaurant that had great food, terrific ambience, excellent service thru out( I dropped my napkin and before I could pick it up I was handed a new one!) and the were very fairly priced. I think this place is going to do very well as everything was really perfect. We are fussy and could not find a thing wrong here. I congratulated the owner who was very gracious to come over and say hello by telling him how much we enjoyed our dinner and what an amazing job he has done. It’s going to be hard to get in here as they are not huge. Enjoy it.

    Beyond delicious. Started with Grilled Spanish Octopus which was grilled to perfection and Mussels Posillipo that melted in our mouths. Then thoroughly enjoyed the Grilled Branzino and Linguini Frutti Di Mare. The flavors and textures were exceptional. Can’t wait yo return

    Everything at Il Sorrento was excellent. The staff was professional and friendly. We enjoyed the complementary small plate and our dinner from appetizers to cocktails to entrees to desert was delicious and well prepared. It was our first visit but it won't be our last. Welcome to our neighborhood.
