                                                                We sat in a side room. It was noisy and crowded. The kitchen was running behind and it was at least one hour for our food. At one point there was no ice. No one came to ask us how we were doing. While my party enjoyed the food I would not try my luck to see how they are when less crowded.

                                                                We knew going, that it was going to be a busy night due to holiday weekend. Made reservations for 8:15 got seated 20 minutes or so later. The hostess was completely rude. They ran out of ice so no ice in the water or any beverages, although about 35 minutes later they had more and waiter was bringing cups of ice to the tables. The order of apps and entrees all go in together. We waited about 1 1/2 for our meal to come to the table. The waiter was fantastic. Not his fault. He offered more bread while we waited for our meal. The family next to us walked out without touching their dinner. We were a party of 3. Waiter suggested an earlier seating next time. Also said restaurant expanded to allow more tables and seating but that the kitchen is the same size and can’t keep up with the orders. My meal was good and the waiter was great,but everything else not so much.

                                                                Il Posto has good food, but I would only go again if we could get an outside table. Inside is very noisy, the staff was very rushed. We saw our waitress who explained appetizer and entree could only be ordered together, that entrees would be 45 minutes prep time, late into the meal to quicky asked if all was ok, and then not again until she brought the check. We requested an ice bucket that only came as we were getting our check, delivered by the fellow serving water. I felt sorry for the staff - they were overwhelmed with the crowd and not very happy. Not one smile from the hostess station through the meal. The demand of the crowd is overwhelming their ability to keep up. If you are ok in a hectic atmosphere the food is good; the pasta is very good; but not a relaxing meal, and only recommend the outside tables if you want to have a conversation.

                                                                The Hostess was very accomodating in finding us a nicer table first one was too tight. Service was good but long waits between greeting ,salad service and dinner .When dinner arrived it was piping hot excellent . Overall a good night and will certainly looking forward to the next visit .

                                                                Il Posto is the place to go to for good food and I love that it is a BYO. The service was very good but the noise level on a Friday night made it hard to chat.
