Unprofessional staff, constantly reaching over your shoulders to remove things off your table without permission and physically touching you!!! Just a cheap restaurant on the side of the street!

Carpaccios and pastas were in perfect taste. Many thanks to the one of the best waiters I had ever seen, Massimo , for his perfect service. We felt as if we were in Tuscany!

Il Pastaio is my favorite restaurant in L.A! It captures the ambiance of European restaurants and the food never disappoints. What I like the most is that the value is consistent over the years.

the host was so rude , they left us at the table for over 20 min they throw us in the end of the section with over 100 degree outside , 20 min no one even come to give us water , and when i told the host that we are leaving simply said OK ! he didn't seems to care at all so we have to leave and go to another restaurant cross the street VIA ALLORO and it was great over there. i used to love II PASTAIO but not any more , very disappointed

Loved it. We got the mushroom risotto, the calamari, chicken parm and bolognese pasta Highly recommend. Everything was delicious!

We ordered the calamari, which I love calamari, but it was super rubbery and mostly tentacles. My daughter loved the pasta bolognese, I had the chicken milanese which was so so. It was a huge portion but lacked flavor. Our server was really slow and seemed oblivious the whole night. There were a lot of great servers around us that were very engaged with their guests.

First time experiencing lunch at this place. And definitely the food on my opinion is different than the night. At night food taste more delicious. If you’re planing to dine there make sure you try it in the night first.

Dining at Il Pastaio in the evening was wonderful. All of the staff members were welcoming and kind upon our arrival. We sat outside on the patio which was beautiful with the string lights. Our server Michael was the star of the show. He was genuinely kind and happy when serving us. He answered any questions we had about the menu and shared great recommendations. We ordered the Cesar salad which was great as well as the Justin Bieber pasta and the Truffle Pasta. Both delicious. The truffle pasta was to die for, Michael’s recommendation which we loved. We also had cocktails which were tasty- Lychee and Espresso Martinis. We topped it off with a birthday desert that was delicious, an apple pie-like desert with ice cream. Overall we laughed, we ate and had the best time.

Pasta was good and Pana Cotta too. The beef carpaccio no taste at all. Service was horrible have to ask many times. And guess what they charged $1.5 for bread !!!
