    We love Il Palio - yummy authentic Italian food, brilliant and friendly service, homey atmosphere and great coffee. Recommend for any meal of the day, it’s our new local coffee spot as well as our special date night dinner spot - such a hidden gem!!

    Lovely affordable local restaurant with experienced restaurant history having worked At Machiavelli Our g f Duck Ragut was very good as was the tiramisu Perhaps some nice lighting and background music would create some ambience during dining

    The entrance way could be made more welcoming. It has a very temporary feel to it with 3 x high tables without any glasses or cutlery along the wall and an empty "reception" area. could do with high tables taken away and maybe armchairs there instead or if thats too problematic then at least furnished and perhaps flowers on a desk where you stand to be welcomed in. Needs some back ground music and perhaps some more pictures or decorations to make it more cosy. Food was really good, waiter was really good, chefs in kitchen at the front were polite although quite. Theres nothing exciting about the feel of the place when you walk in. The BYO was appreciated and at just over $100 for the two of us (2 starters 2 mains, a desert and some sparkling water) was great value and overal they deserved the tip. A bit of work to do to get it going as a go to restaurant; at the moment its more like a place to eat if you cant be bothered to cook at home. I hope that changes as will definitely be going back.     Must visit! Delicious food - very rustic and authentic Italian. Very flavourful and excellent value for the price. Wonderful and friendly wait staff. Will definitely be back again.

    If you would like a taste of Siena Italy, you need to go to Il Palio. Authentic Tuscan food right here in Sydney. The team at Il Palio are fabulous and chef Alberto will make sure you are transported to Tuscany. You need to make sure you try Il Palio!
