We had meatballs and garlic bread, and the plate was so clean we didn't even need to wash it.

Whenever I pick someone up at Ft Lauderdale airport in the evening, we always stop at Il Mulino on the way home. It's a good way to avoid the rush hour traffic and it's a very good restaurant. I would eat there more often if it were closer to my home. Good food, reasonable prices and very good service.

Il Mulino is usually very low key and quiet. We unfortunately were seated adjacent vet to a large ( 15 or so) very loud and rude people). We didn’t realize how bad nor was until they started doing selfies and group photos right at our booth and kept bumping into one of our group with no apologies. I think our server couldn’t even get to us for a few minutes. We should have asked to be reseated, but it was apparent that the hostess and our server saw and heard what was going on. I’m sure their group spent a lot more than our group of 4 must it soured me on Il Mulino. We have been comings since the ‘90’s and have never had this kind of issue. We usually go 2-3 times each time we are in town as we enjoy the atmosphere and food. I will note also that the size of the veal Parmesan has shrunk by about 50% amd the price keeps going up.

I was excited to dine to at Il Mulino. The restaurant is lovely; the noise level was very conducive to talking with others at the table. However, the food was just okay. Three of our dishes were bland tasting. Something was missing from every dish (we all had a different entrees.) Maybe a touch of lemon to the Chicken Piccata; some garlic to the fish of the day entree; some seasoning to the Pasta Primavera (although the veggies were very fresh in that dish). Would we return? Probably not because there are plenty of Italian restaurants in Broward county to try,

Absolutely amazing meal and service! The special was the “Italian Treat” was just that….a TREAT!!! Great variety , fresh vegetables and pasta. Hope they put that on the menu permanently.
