Great meal. Everything was perfect. This place is quality over quantity. Octopus is delicious and so was potato kale soup. Pastas are fabulous. Service and ambience perfect. Highly recommend. Make reservations (small place and very busy) .

My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Il Melograno. We had a reservation and were seated on time. The owner was our waiter. He was welcoming, answered all our questions about the menu, specials and wine list. The food was delicious. My wife had the salmon which was perfectly prepared and served over a cauliflower purée. I had the orchetti in a sauce with peas, broccolini. When we were finished with our meal, we had a chance to talk to the owner and tell him how much we enjoyed the experience. He shared the history of the restaurant with us as well as his early life experiences in Sicily. I recommend Il Melograno to anyone looking for great food, a nice atmosphere and a welcoming staff.

My go to place whenever I am in the city! Started with an Aperol Spritz (as good as any I’ve had in Italy) and ended with a Limoncello (so smooth). We had the Chicken Milanese and the Veal Ravioli, both delicious! Lino, as always, the most gracious host! Can’t wait to go back!

Il Melograno is an absolutely incredible neighborhood restaurant with exceptional appetizers, entrees, cocktails, wines, desserts and the service is amazing. We have been eating there since we moved to NYC 12 years ago and every time we have the most amazing meals. We've brought many friends and family members there over the years and they all love this restaurant. I have to give a special mention to our server Jose who took care of us this past Sunday. He is so friendly and made a fabulous suggestion for a bottle of wine that perfectly paired with our meal. The octopus appetizer is one of our favorites and it was so good, and the pappardelle pasta is perfection. We can't wait to go back again. Il Melograno is without a doubt one of the Best Italian restaurants in all of New York. 5 stars all the way!!!

Delicious fresh food. We had the soup specials which were very good and super fresh tasting, a pasta dish and a sizzling hot Milanese with a bright salad

Il Melograno has been our "go to" for all Hell's Kitchen, Broadway and Irish Arts Center performances and events for many years. We never go anywhere else. A one-of-a-kind superb dining experience. All of our friends rave about it.

I love the ambiance of II Melograno. My waiter whom I seem to always get when I go there is part of the lovely experience. Food is good; wine pairing perfect; service is great.

After thoroughly enjoying 2 meals here within the past year (and several before that), I looked forward to this latest outing. However, the food was very uneven - some excellent, some not so much, and the veal ravioli, which has been spectacular in the past, was merely good. The service was rather sporadic - barely giving us time to look at the menus before wanting to take our order and once we ordered wine and appetizers, it took quite a while to get someone to take our entree order. It's a casual vibe, which I like, and while the music was not obtrusive, the overall noise level was on the verge of making conversation difficult. All that said, I would certainly return - 1 so-so visit is not disqualifying.
