Coming to you Very Soon! “Girasole” stands for sunflower in Italian. A flower that grows in abundance in fields all across 4 different provinces in northern Italy. A classic northern Italian trattoria with daily fresh ingredients & house made pasta dishes served w/ stellar service & exceptional wine & specialty drinks. Providing our guests the best in Italian cuisine we have to offer with a combination of 50 years of experience. We have 2 separate dining rooms for you to enjoy a wonderful family meal or for an impressive 1st date dinner before heading across the street to catch a movie at the theater! Our lovely & inviting space offers a full sidewalk cafe patio & a more private 2nd floor terrace patio.

We came out to celebrate my brothers 18th birthday. It was a table of 6 and our waiter did such a great job caring for all of us. The owner Christian is so nice and he goes to every table to see how everyone is doing. All staff kept checking on us as well. Now for the food! Everything was amazing from appetizers to desert! When we were eating everyone became quiet because we enjoyed the food so much the only thing you would hear from us would be “this is delicious you have to try it”. They even sang happy birthday! Definitely coming back would recommend over and over again!

We had an amazing experience. The food was well prepared & delicious. The service & atmosphere was top notch. I know this place is new but you must go!!

This was a really nice and unexpected treat. My wife and I have been to Italy multiple times so we have a pretty high standard for Italian food. This exceeded our expectations.

Downstairs was quite noisy when we arrived. We were seated upstairs and it was quiet and comfortable. Service was impeccable. Wide,varied menu at a very good value. Food was well prepared with large portions. Delicious, inexpensive bottle of wine. Neighborhood gem. Easy bus ride to Diversey and Western. We’ll be back.

Food was great - ate at the upstairs bar which was fine by us (it was our only choice as we booked it that day). Service was attentive… it was loud but that’s what you get when a bunch of folks are having a good time!!!

My second time back. We started with Frito Di Mare and the Tartare Di Tonno both were very good. For the main coarse Pollo Al Milanese, Short ribs, Zuppa Di Pesce Di Alta Cucina and Gnocchi Al Girasole which was excellent. The Chocolate Volcano was very good. I'll be back.
