They didn't have a clean table ready for us when we arrived despite having a reservation and the restaurant not looking too busy, there was a constant high pitched whine from the belt on the pizza oven that just grated on you and they seated us next to some poorly controlled children. They give us silverware or napkins until after they delivered our main courses despite having served our apps and the food was only mediocre at best. They also ran out of meatballs for the appetizers, which is supposedly a signature dish but that we didn't get to try, also meaning no spaghetti and meat balls either. On top of that, one of our group went to the bathroom and there was no toilet paper and she spent 20 minutes screaming for help before finally just making do without (she left her phone at the table). I got the pizza margarita but it was bland and sort of sour tasting (didn't know pizza could taste sour) and just not very appealing. The only thing I really enjoyed was the garlic bread so I guess there's that. Definitely felt like we were dealing with the B-Team despite it being a Saturday on a holiday weekend. I don't think I'll be back especially at the price going out to eat is anymore. If I want to be that disappointed again, I'll just open a can of pre-made raviolis at home and underheat it in the microwave.

Terrific food and value. Hailey is a great server and Dan is a wonderful manager. We like this restaurant.

Unfortunately we found 2 strands of hair in our food. One in the appetizer and one in the main course. Our waitress was very apologetic but the tone was set for the remainder of the dinner. Don’t think we will going back anytime soon.

We were excited to try il fornello for the first time. I made reservations for a Saturday night. Walked in and it was dead. We were seated. The atmosphere is cold, honestly felt like we were seated in a retail store. Table were spaced, but plain and dark to no decor. The menu read well and looked great. We ordered meatball app which were hard and tasted frozen. The garlic bread was burnt. We also ordered the asparagus app which was good but the asparagus was also charred. Then for our mains. We ordered wild mushroom truffle pizza. It had NO flavour. Mushrooms were soggy and tasted like they had been stored in water. We had too add quite a bit of salt and pepper to bring out the smallest bit of flavour. So disappointed. There was no signs or flavour of truffle at all. We also ordered the fettuccine Alfredo. Again, no flavour and the sauce wasn’t smooth but gritty. Sidekicks are better than what we received. The prices are by no way reflective of what you receive. Service was slow but there was maybe 8 tables total. Extremely disappointed and we won’t be back

It was a special occasion for my husband and I, our 34th anniversary. We had 4:30 reservation for 4:30. We arrived at 4:20 and upon arrival we were told the dining area didn’t open until 5:00. Why was I able to book a 4:30 appointment when we can’t even order food until 5:00? We were told the dining area would not be open until 5:00 pm. We were told we could wait at the bar (neither one of us drink)or in a lounge area where the seats were very low. I’m disabled and would not have been able to lower myself down into the chair or get up without assistance. So we asked if we could just sit in dining area to wait and they allowed us to sit in dining area. We waited 40 minutes 5:00 pm) just to see the menu. We were given the dining menu and alcohol menu. We ordered mock tails as we don’t drink. Dinner took forever to come. When it came time for dessert the waitress brought us a special menu that has special for the night and a dessert menu. At the bottom of the special menu was 1 dessert. The rest was food, I asked her was these the special for the night? We didn’t get this menu tonight? She said in all farness it’s usually the specials for Friday and Saturday but because they had leftovers they decided to put it out on Sunday. I said that’s fine but we should have still gotten the specials menu or be told what the specials were tonight. There was something on the special menu I would have definitely ordered instead. Our waitress was also the bartender so hard to get her attention when needed. When I made reservations I had said it was our 34th wedding anniversary and not one person said happy anniversary to us. I mentioned at the end of the night it was our 34th anniversary then the waitress said oh congrats. We were there for over 2.5 hrs which I think should have been way less time. The washrooms were not marked where they were and no male female bathrooms. Just a bunch of doors in a row you had to open to see if washrooms more 2 say not enough room

Told my sister they would bring her a complementary dessert for my birthday, then charged her for it. She sent her meal back & got something else, was also charged for the item that was sent back
