We ate here prior to seeing a show at the performing arts center a few blocks away. The staff was friendly and helpful. They asked if we had a show to get to so that they knew we were on a schedule. Without feeling rushed, everything was served in a timely manner. I had a seasonal pumpkin martini. It was good, flavorful without being overly sweet. My husband had pasta to start carbing up for a marathon and I had the tuna tartare. Both were very good. The only thing not so great about our visit is where we were seated. I understand the need to balance the load between different servers. A short wall divides the restaurant into about 3/4 and 1/4. Though we arrived early and there were tons of two top tables, we were seated behind the dividing wall. We were literally the only people seated there the whole time. That wall creates a corridor of sorts where most of the kitchen traffic, and customers headed to the bar, etc, go by. We were surrounded by empty tables with a constant flow of people walking by. Not really very relaxing. I pointed it out to the hostess on one of her many trips going by our table, just letting her know what the experience was like. She offered to reseat us. I declined, as we were halfway through our meal. I mainly thought she would want to know for future clients. The manager came by and apologized, and sent us a free dessert. Very kind. I'd go back there again. It really is a nice place to eat with a varied menu, good service, and a nice bar. I'll just make sure we get seated in the main part of the restaurant next time.

We were there early so it might explain the excellent service and ambiance. The food for all of us was excellent and they made accommodations for one of our party who had specific food allergies. They were attentive and friendly and we thought there was value to the entire meal. We’ll be back!

Our waiter was pleasant. The food was awful! Meatballs were cold and salmon on two salads was raw. They did comp the meal which was nice. Left hungry.

Not a great experience. The food was just OK, but for the price, I would expect much better quality. The service was extremely slow and I had to ask staff to get our waiter for us as he would disappear for 20 minutes or more. The bread served as we sat down was stale and we finished the oil and vinegar with only half the bread. I set the plate out on the edge of the table to get more oil and vinegar, but it was ignored by all staff. The Cesar Salad was just OK. It was very plain. I had to ask 2 different employees for pepper as we only had salt on our table and my request from to the first staff member was acknowledged, then ignored. Second staff member brought more salt and after I pointed it out, they brought back pepper. The pasta we had was also just OK. Nothing to remarkable or worth noting. It wasn't bad, but wasn't much better than average. With all the options for food in the area, I can't imagine we will be going back here again.

Had not been to Il Fornaio in Downtown San Jose in a few years and I was very pleased to see the quality of the food and service has not changed.

この地域で安心して利用できる、お勧めのレストラン会合に出張してきた仕事の同僚と楽しい時間を過ごすことができた。どれも美味しいのだが一つ何かが足りない感じがした。例えば、ビーフのカルパッチョはビーフがお皿に張り付いていたとか軽く焼いた帆立は火の通りがほんの少し足りないなどだ完璧は個人で違うかもしれないので好みの範囲の問題かもしれない。また、滞在中に機会があればまた来たいとも思ったので僅かなものなのだろう。勧められたワインは美味しく、最後のエスプレッソまで楽しんだ。パンに、オリーブオイルとバルサミコ酢をさっと出してくれる問題を挙げるとしたら、テーブルが小さい事と流行っていて少しうるさい事フロアスタッフなどのサービスは過不足ないのが良い価格は安くはないが、この物価高の中、しょうがないとおもっている

The food was great, however the staff seemed overwhelmed. The check in hostess was also the person to seat people. This seemed very strange and caused a line up.
