L'Il Fornaio vous propose un voyage culinaire en Italie. Tôt le matin, vous dégusterez du pain rustique croustillant sorti du four et un expresso fraîchement moulu. Des pâtes et des sauces hautes en saveurs sont préparés pour le dîner et le souper, tandis que des viandes et des légumes rôtissent sur des braises. Accompagnant les repas élaborés dans la tradition des cuisiniers, boulangers et ménagères italiens, les bouteilles de vin sont issues de petits domaines viticoles régionaux. Les spécialités comprennent des viandes grillées, de la rôtisserie au feu de bois, de la volaille, du gibier, des pâtes et des soupes maison, des pizzas cuites dans un four au feu de bois de chêne, des salades fraîches, un large choix de desserts et du pain fraîchement cuit chaque matin. Looking for an indoor spot for a great lunch on a rainy day, my family and I chose Il Fornaio Del Mar ~ and got exactly what we were looking for! Everything was delicious, and our server was absolutely wonderful. I've always loved this place for special sunset dinners on warm nights, but it was also the perfect choice for a conversational lunch. Thanks so much!

For the money I thought the food and service were mediocre. not nearly as good as it used to be.

My party loved their main courses and soup. I though thought my lasagna was very bland. Wine and dessert were excellent as was the service

I wanted a friend visiting from Canada to have a pleasant lunch with a beautiful Del Mar ocean view, so I thought of Il Fornaio. We both ordered Pollo alla Parmigiana, an Italian-American version of the "Melanzane alla Parmigiana. The presentation was frankly sloppy; the chicken was on top of the spaghetti, and even though the description read "breaded chicken breast topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella served with spaghetti pomodoro", both sauces' textures were the same and bland. The chicken was tender but needed seasoning, and a little color with green beans or broccoli, or at least a few basil leaves, would have been nice. It was not worth the 35 dollars for me. The server tried his best, but it was hard to deliver a good service with so many tables to attend to. I keep trying to give Il Fornaio a chance because I love their locations in Coronado and Del Mar, but in the end, I always regret dining here.

We had a very good meal. Enjoyed our cocktails and wine. The views from the front dining patio were awesome and we had a beautiful sunset! We will return soon.

I was in town visiting my farther and wanted to take him out to dinner. II Fornaio in Del Mar is not far from where my father lives in Encinitas. The charcuterie board was special appetizer and it was strongly recommended by the waiter and he was correct. I ordered the lasagna with béchamel with sausage and it was fantastic

Both penne a la vodka and my salmon were very good. The fried calamari were tender. Service was attentive. I had the margarita Italiano, that I enjoyed very much. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
