We booked the reservation weeks ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Three hours before our appointment, I got a call from them saying that they have two big private events on that day and they couldn't offer a patio table. They could have let us know earlier so that we could still find another reservation. The place was so crowded and so loud that day. Our night was ruined.

Very nice anniversary dinner, staff made a real effort to make us feel good for our special occasion which was very much appreciated.

The staff went above and beyond for my girlfriend and I's anniversary night. They did an amazing job making the night truly special. The food was wonderful and the service was exceptional. Would come back again 100%!

One of our favorite places - great ocean view, good food, and friendly staff. I had the seafood last and ny wife had inslada Regina topped with grilled salmon- both excellant.

Il Fornaio-Del Mar is a very good restaurant! We don't live in California, but when we are in the area, we always try to have dinner there. There are some great views of the ocean, if you sit on the covered patio. Highly recommended!

The food was amazing as well as our server Ruby! She was training but she rocked it and did an amazing job! Very helpful and attentive! Will come back, and request Ruby as our server again! 10/10

We had such an excellent dining experience!! The food was cooked perfectly, and the view was beautiful at sunset. The supervisor came to our table and took extra care of our child’s food allergies. Will be back.
