   Service was great. Vanya took good care of us. Food was solid but not outstanding. There was an issue with the pasta and had to be re-made. When it came out the scones time it was very good and as expected and not all broken into pieces. Chicken parm was very good.

   My third time in this wonderful location! Superb service, excellent lasagna and seafood pasta!

   Made 5pm reservations on yelp and asked for I door table. Checked in at 5pm said they had nice table but needed to wait for server to arrive. After waiting 15 minutes they asked if we would sit outside and we said no we requested indoors and were told it would be 30 to 45 minutes. We said no we did not want to sit outside and we had reservations at 5. Was seated 10 minutes later.

   Food was great but the service was “good” only because once our water glasses were empty they stayed that way unfortunately. The server never came by to refill them. Other than that I enjoyed the restaurant.

   Outstanding view of the city skyline, very quiet and relaxed, handsome dining area, and reasonable prices. Excellent burrata con prosciutto and rigatoni alla vodka. And they had Gaja Promis, a favorite wine of ours.

   We have been going to I’ll Fornaio since it opened since the 90’s in Del Mar. The Coronado restaurant has a beautiful location with spectacular views. Service was disappointing. I had to get the server’s attention multiple times. It was hard to get water refills. Careless service. The food- fish pasta was average. Beyond the views, this restaurant is not high on my list of recommended dining choices.

   We had a wonderful evening. Great food and service. And great view of the San Diego skyline. It is one of our best overall dining experiences on Coronado.

   Jose was amazing , very knowledgeable in the food and made sure my girlfriend and I have a wonderful dining experience. Will come again to try more items of the menu and the service

    Can't beat the city skyline backdrop across San Diego Bay and lots of tables with good sight lines. We requested a window table to celebrate my wife's birthday and got one, which doesn't always happen when requested in advance. Kudos to the staff at the front desk for that attention to detail (although we were a little ahead of the dinner rush on a Saturday evening.) Jose , our server was very pleasant and professional. The entrees were delicious (filet of sole for my wife and veal for me) were quite good. Not terribly original but high quality ingredients with excellent flavor profiles. Il Fornio has been around for years, but for a solid experience with good service and nice views you can't go wrong!
