We went to this restaurant because it was conveniently located in our hotel. The atmosphere was very nice, our server was professional and the homemade pasta was outstanding!

Great Branzino. Service was a little disorganized, took awhile to get served because the waiters kept trying to deliver the wrong meals to all of the tables. The waiters were very friendly about it though so it became kind of funny.

The service was very good. My friend and I got different salads and they were excellent. We also enjoy two desserts that were delicious. This is one of my favorite places. The staff and food can't be beat!

Salads were good, beer and wine were good, pizza was good, and server was very nice & friendly. But it took 45 minutes to get a pizza. Ridiculous and no explanation for the delay. Otherwise, this was a 5-star experience for a pizza joint.

The food was notably bad. Everything else was incredible service was excellent ambiance is 10/10. But no one at our table could finish our meals, which is rare. Very disappointing let down

A consistent and dependable menu, with specials that often are an unexpected highlight. We frequent this Carmel restaurant. For Italian cuisine, it’s among the best.

The food was mediocore. My chicken was somewhat rubbery and felt like it had sat under the warming lamp for a while. No bread offered when we sat down, nothing to write home about.

We return to this Il Fornaio every year in Carmel, CA. They are exceptionally helpful making table reservations. We had a table for 7. Service was good, not great. The server went on break and we didn't know it. The cocktails were very good. I had the meat ragu pasta. The sauce was good, but the pasta was stuck together and pasty. The menu was shortened with no veal on the menu. Overall, I give it an average.

They were either understaffed or always provide slow service. One guy seemed to censoring almost everything, and they also ran out of coffee during breakfast, waiting for more to be brewed. They should plan better and consider customer experience, especially during car week.
