    They were out of everything we tried to order from two different wines to the entrees. And refused to tell us what they were out of in advance. Just said the menu was changing the next day. Took over an hour to get our first bite of food. Ridiculously frustrating all around. Won’t be going back.

    Had a wonderful dinner together last night. The food was delicious! I had the lasagna, my friends and my husband veal scallopini. I hadn’t seeing my friends in sometime, was perfect to visit and catch up. Our server was excellent perfect timing. I’ll go back whenever I have the chance

    All of our dinners were delicious however, we were celebrating two birthdays and fully intended on paying for our one dessert that we ordered. I thought that the restaurant would usually acknowledge a birthday by comping the dessert but although they acknowledged it with a candle we paid for the dessert.

    Good ambience. Delicious drinks. Main complaint: I feel a lot of the dishes were served lukewarm, which affected my enjoyment. I noticed for those dishes the plates were not heated. When I did taste something that was at a hotter temperature (the scallop in the pasta) it was much more enjoyable.

    Everything was perfect, service from Yesenia, was top notch, Chelsea the GM stopped by our table to make sure we were having a great experience. We felt special. Everyone loved the food and service. Thank you Yesenia and Chelsea. We will be back.

    If late Anthony Bourdain were alive, he would be very disappointed by this place. The food was sad and pathetic. We came here on Saturday night after attending some event in Palo Alto. My wife was hungry, so we decided to try and see what’s in the Burlingame. Obviously, there are a lot of rich folks who live in Burlingame, so the restaurants should be ok, right? Wrong! On a Saturday night, the restaurant wasn’t packed. The first red flag. Appetizers: The roasted Brussels sprouts weren’t roasted – based on the texture, they were rather steamed or boiled, then stored in the fridge, and then reheated. They were not charred, there was no sign of Maillard reaction on them. They weren’t tasty at all. Hell, I cook them better at home. And most other restaurants cook them much better than I do. For the main course we had Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese & Pollo Alla Toscana. The food wasn’t exciting. I don’t know where the restaurant sources Tagliatelle pasta, but it wasn’t of good quality. It was rather thin and didn’t have the bite to it. It definitely wasn’t cooked to Al Dente. The sauce was okay. The chicken savorless, the roasted cauliflower had the same issue as the Brussels sprouts. While eating the food I realized that the restaurant had to make some compromises in the food quality to keep the margins up. At the same time I couldn’t help but noticed that the front of the house was overstaffed for the amount of customers who were at the restaurants at the moment. If I were a business owner, I’d cut the FoH and send cooks to stage in Europe, I’d made the food quality a priority. In any case, the restaurant appears to be going downhill and it seems like the real estate will soon be available for lease.

    It's all okay, but that is about it. Under seasoned fried calamari served with only marinara sauce. A very floppy pizza crust with cheese hardly melted. Good carpaccio, but of course, there's no cooking involved. Salmon cooked VERY WELL. Service probably too busy for getting things done quickly. It's been in place a long time. It's popular. But it's just okay, really....
