IL FARO means "The Lighthouse." We envisioned being just that: a beacon in the Albany neighborhood, a safe haven from the stresses of everyday life. Strength and serenity. Creating food that please all of the senses. We believe food should look beautiful, smell amazing and taste delicious. We know that dining out is more than just a meal; it's a great new glass of wine, a much needed break from work, a romantic evening with promise, a perfectly mixed cocktail and a memorable meal that you will crave.

Enjoy the creative plant based and gluten free options. The menu has something for everyone. Service is professional, pleasant, and attentive. You feel like family here. It is a regular place for us to visit.

The menu changes on a regular basis but never fails to disappoint. Not a huge selection of entrees to choose from, however the taste of each is amazing. I am not sure how they are able to bring out so much flavor in things, but it works for us. A great place to go and enjoy a great meal with people who get to know you.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Wait staff were helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. I got the vegan eggplant parm, and the cauliflower salad ahead of time then some wonderful ice cream. Will return.

Don't know how we've missed this wonderful gem in Albany all these years! But it is terrific. The food was inspired and great. Not the "same ole, same oles". And the staff could not have been more welcoming! Thanks all!!
