    Food was amazing. Service attentive. There was a large party there and our service was not affected nor was our food delayed. Very nice restaurant.

    This is the best restaurant in the city. We go out to dinner twice a week always visiting new places. IL Bel Lago is superior. Food always well presented and delicious. Both owners present over seeing everything. Can’t wait for our next visit.

    This is the second time I have had Gregory as a server and it was the second time another couple at my table had him as well. Both other times we had come separately as 2 top tables. I’ve got to be honest and confirmed with the other couple, he’s isn’t great. In fact, I get the feeling he judges his guests at his tables before they order and assumes what their bill will look like. Sad. Many of us have worked in country club service or high end retail at one point in our lives and quickly became uncomfortable with his passive aggressive, condescending attitude towards us. Every other word during the specials was repeated and when he did take orders or for anything, he would make comments in a non professional way such as “I’ll take care of that right away” or “consider it done”. Sounds ok typing it but it was soooo condescending. He is not attentive but pretends to be. We had to ask secondary wait staff for more drinks and another bottle of wine. If building your ticket is your goal, this is a miss. He didn’t come back while we were eating to see if we needed anything. He made a face when our friend ordered the fettuccine. He did not ask if we wanted separate checks at the beginning of the meal and then set the single check in front of the birthday couple. When we went to pay with different cards, he came back and gave us a lecture about how normally 20% is added to a party but since we all paid separately “just this once he’ll allow it” and made sure to let us know he did not include that 20% so we could leave 20% or higher. Super cringy, Gregory. Could have been completely avoided at the beginning of our visit. To add to this, he plopped dessert menus down but never actually asked if we wanted dessert, then proceeded to just bring out a birthday treat for the guest of honor. Ok great, but you didn’t ask us as we were visiting and chatting and rushed us to the bill. I’ll say this. I love Il Bel Lago but this guy has ruined my past 2 visits.

    We have been eating at this great restaurant for years. Always consistent with their food quality. Shout out to the best server Gregory!

    Terrible experience from the moment my mother and I sat at the table! It took the waiter a min of 10-15 minutes before he came over to the table. Once he came to the table, he started to tell us about the specials but then asked about drinks and walked off for another 5-10 minutes. When waiter came back, he went over the specials, we ordered and he asked us to choose a soup or salad with our entrees. Refills on drinks were needed but waiter may have only came to check on us maybe twice and that's after we had to call him. Our salads were dry and needed more dressing but he took so long to come over that my mother didn't want her salad anymore. Meals came out, I wanted some extra pasta sauce but waiter took so long to come over my pasta was getting cold. Bill came, we paid the bill but haven't signed receipt or tipped yet. Also looking at the bill, the waiter charged us for full salads after he misrepresented salads as a part of the price of an entree. So we were not happy about that either. The waiter came to our table then 3 times within 10-15minutes to collect the receipt because the bill was already paid!!!! If that doesn't tell your customers you are ready for them to leave. We still didn't sign off the receipt and leave tip because I was still eating but the 3rd time the waiter came he didn't say anything and hurried off with the unsigned receipt. I just knew he would bring the receipt back after he saw it wasnt signed and no tip noted. My mother at this point made up her mind that we were not coming back. Let me also point out that we watched our waiter go to another table several times and checked on them but not us as if he was avoiding us. To make the matters even WORSE: THERE WAS A TIP ADDED TO BILL BY THE WAITER!!!! HE STOLE FROM US!!!! ($16.88 to be exact) We had to call the restaurant and have them credit the tip back on our card. The owner/manager did refund the tip. The restaurant informed us waiter name was JOE and because of Joe, we won't be back.

    The food was excellent. Spinach salad was outstanding The shrimp scampi was magnificent  I highly recommend this restaurant

    Louise said her salmon was excellent and she had leftovers for lunch the next day. My pasta with fish was equally as good with at least a haft dozen of different fish. Our waiter, Michael, was excellent and was always available when we needed more wine.

    Started with Nona’s meatball appetizer. The main courses we ordered were Calamaretti Cape Sante an President Reagan’s Bow Tie. We shared lemon torte for dessert. All food choices were excellent and service was great also.

    It's been a long time since I've eaten at a restaurant this perfect. It was fun with a teenage grandson to eat by 'candlelight', the meal choices were great, serving portions were good, it wasn't screaming loud. We loved it and I managed to get a good 90 minutes of conversation out of him with no phones as well. I'm sure we will be back!
